Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

There was a time, many years ago, the awards shows were fun to watch. That was about 40 years ago.

And don't forget Kanye announcing at the awards that he intends to stand for president of the USA. I mean, really? But then I think back, and Ronald Reagan pulled it off. So that's to look forward to.

Oh wonderful.

The bead jack is still in New Jersey.

Yesterday was a spending day. I bought two cassettes, some tire tools and some bead jacks.

Yeah, I normally don't watch awards shows either, but after reading everything on social media, I had to see what I missed.

It was definitely entertaining. The whole Kanye thing was a hoot...he appeared to be high as hell and rambled for a good 15 minutes. All things considered, Trump is doing pretty well with just throwing money and saying asinine things this election cycle, it seems Kanye would fit right into the whole circus.

Oh, I don't know. The President hasn't always got his way, and even if idiots like Kanye get in, they can become virtually impotent depending on the balance of power with the House of Reps and Senate. Even Trump, with all his bravado, I could see just being a figurehead who would quickly become very frustrated at not being able to run the bureaucracy the same as a business. Can you imagine Kim as the First Lady? Oh boy, now that is the really scary thought.

Now, that says more about the VW Microbus than me, but it was a ball chasing it down and passing it.

We approached from the West and turned North by Northeast through the town...I know the hill you speak of! A decent grind....Overall I found the road conditions to be excellent, except for my sudden & surprise introduction to chip-seal. That **** is not fun and it isn't safe...

The Warbird should excel on that surface.

I had my road wheels...25mm, so eh... I did fine...but bigger most definitely would have been better. I hit that crap at over 30 and gingerly had to brake.
