There was a time, many years ago, the awards shows were fun to watch. That was about 40 years ago.

Last night instead of riding my bike in the worst storm Arizona has seen in years, I stayed home and ended up watching the VMAs.
Now I consider myself to be quite liberal...I mean, super duper uber liberal. However, I can honestly say there were multiple times that my jaw dropped and I said "I can't believe this is on television!!"
Honestly, what kind of **** show was that and what the hell are kids watching today that this is considered normal?!

...I don't think when I was a hippie that the girls wore lingerie. Once you got the jeans off, you were good to go.

i cannot stand award shows of any kind, nor do i have a television, so i dont know exactly what went on. i did hear that the wonderchild miley cyrus was hosting, which led my expectations to around the same intersection as your experience.
mtv has always been pushing boundaries, but i dont think anyone really cares about them anymore so theyre just doing crazy **** for ratings.
heres an idea, get some ****ing music back on.
i made a prediction when i was like 13 that girls would be walking around in lingerie by the time i had kids, not only is it true, but its ahead of schedule. yay america.

Oh wonderful.
The bead jack is still in New Jersey.
Yesterday was a spending day. I bought two cassettes, some tire tools and some bead jacks.

Yeah, I normally don't watch awards shows either, but after reading everything on social media, I had to see what I missed.
It was definitely entertaining. The whole Kanye thing was a hoot...he appeared to be high as hell and rambled for a good 15 minutes. All things considered, Trump is doing pretty well with just throwing money and saying asinine things this election cycle, it seems Kanye would fit right into the whole circus.

Oh, I don't know. The President hasn't always got his way, and even if idiots like Kanye get in, they can become virtually impotent depending on the balance of power with the House of Reps and Senate. Even Trump, with all his bravado, I could see just being a figurehead who would quickly become very frustrated at not being able to run the bureaucracy the same as a business. Can you imagine Kim as the First Lady? Oh boy, now that is the really scary thought.

Hey UD, nice looking tour! I have ridden some of those roads, and wouldn't ride some of them on a bet. I don't know which way you went through Blue Mountain Lake, but one of my more fun cycling memories was passing a VW Microbus on the long climb heading Northeast out of town. Now, that says more about the VW Microbus than me, but it was a ball chasing it down and passing it.
We approached from the West and turned North by Northeast through the town...I know the hill you speak of! A decent grind....Overall I found the road conditions to be excellent, except for my sudden & surprise introduction to chip-seal. That **** is not fun and it isn't safe...
