I bought a new queen size mattress/box spring from Original Mattress Factory for my 2 year anniversary gift (which is the cotton anniversary). Gets delivered tomorrow. I can't wait, my old mattress was about a decade past its prime.

A new mattress can make a big difference in how well you sleep. Hope it works out. Short story.............

Our mattress was also way past it's prime so we go shopping and settle on the Serta iComfort. After around 60 days or so decided to rotate the mattress and wifey says, wtf, I can't sleep in your hole. During that short period the foam began to depress and was obvious that it was compressing. Fortunately, we were within the 90 day return policy and exchanged it for a TempurPedic. Huge difference in quality (and price) and been very happy since then. Nice to go to bed with a great mattress..........

Yeah, the OMF mattress comes with a 10 year warranty against excessive foam depressions. The thing I'm most pleased about though is that they're hauling away the old one for only $5 per piece ($10 total). I wonder if they strip it down and recycle the metal...

My square tapers are doing fine. Oh, and that Isis or whatever the hell it is seems OK, too.

Current bottom bracket types in the rjones28 cycling collection:

square taper (frankenbike and Schwinn)
external bearing (Catrike)
press fit (bb30 - Allez, bb86 - Fuji)

Well, what would the motorist be charged with?

This is kind of interesting.

People only care about how tall the 2016 candidates are. So, here. - The Washington Post

Seems weird that the cyclist left the scene. I figured he threw the keys away, so the motorist would have to stick around (with him) for the cops.

That was my first assumption as well.

I did not feel overdressed on today's ride...

...it felt cooler than the reported 50 degrees.

...the right candidate, obviously a boxers guy, could easily gain my support at this point in the campaign. :) #nothandsonthough

So in a strange turn of events, I was unable to wake up early this morning because I was too stinking tired. I got up just early enough and forced myself to get my shizzle together and ride the bike to work.

Totally worth it.

It was like 55 this morning. Just a week ago, morning temps were in the mid-70's and stupid humid. I was just a little under dressed, but not so much that I couldn't do the 6 miles. My ears started to hurt towards the end. But yeah, I love the cooler weather. I guess I'll have to dig out my knee and arm warmers soon.

EDIT: I just looked it up. It was actually 52 when I left the house. I probably should have at least worn my winter hat.

So 52 on the way in, 80 on the way home. At least it's not 100...

I just came back from the garage/bike workshop. The Williams 38s are off the Habanero and the metal wheels are on. Brake pads swapped out too, of course.

It's officially fall.

rjones28 10-02-15 08:11 PM

My torque wrench stopped working. :(
