I honestly don't need a single thing for my cycling at this point and for the foreseeable future. I have hoarded up a few extra cassettes and chains, still have a bunch of tires from PBK buy, and even have a backup set of 10 speed shifters. Plus plenty of lube/cables/tools etc. Honestly I think I could go for 2-3 more years without spending anything on bike stuff (other than maybe snacks/drink mix).

That said, I don't have a CX bike... :innocent:

stamps.com-done and done. Print the label at home and drop the package off at the PO or just give it to your carrier. No muss, no fuss.

Their monthly fee is a rip off. Get a Dymo printer and buy stamps through endicia. You'll only pay the exact postage fees and the cost of the labels. The Dymo printer is also nice for labels if you're printing those.

My back has bothered me since 10:50 am on July 25th 2015 when I was doing this hill on the SS. https://www.strava.com/activities/35...nts/8423351608

The last couple weeks have been progressively worse and it was getting painful to sit or even lay down on my side. I've been working on stretching and rebuilding strength, but hasn't seemed to help a whole lot. I've been to the chiropractor multiple times, but this morning I hit up the chiro to buy some crack and the pain level dropped significantly.

Hopefully this stupid back injury is on its way out.

Edit: I see it doesn't link to the segment in question. It was orlando @ dawn where the grade hits >13%. I was standing up and pushing down with my legs while pulling up with my arms when my spine voiced a complaint.

Woke up this morning just and was in just as much pain with just as much stiffness as the prior day. I stretched as well as I could then busied myself loading the dishwasher and making breakfast followed by more stretching. It's tolerable now. I sure hope this isn't my new normal because it's bs.

Be careful, N+1 fever is contagious, especially just prior the Christmas.

...I have managed to **** up a number of things on my body in my appointed time on earth. The back one was by far the longest lasting and most problematic one. :( #hopeitgetsbetter

I'm going to see if buying my wife large pieces of furniture will allow me to sneak in an N+1 without complaint.

That should work. And be sure to mention the N+1 is a better geometry to help relieve the back issues.

Might work. Would be a lie though. Overall my back doesn't seem to mind the tops, hoods, or drops. It's the transition from seated to standing that gives me trouble.

Yeah, you're right. I didn't even realize I had signed on for a monthly fee. Doh! Thanks for the heads up. I mostly use the USPS site for packages, but it seems you can't print first class postage for packages (the old parcel post) on the site. Only Priority shipping. I don't understand why.

On the topic of SO's and bike purchases: We had a guy in the shop last weekend who had an upset wife after he bought an expensive bike. Apparently, he was able to convince her it was used because of the "scuffs" on the top tube. It was a BMC with the unidirectional CF and matte finish. Apparently she bought it.

Speaking of the bike shop this weekend, we had two real winners in the shop. The first guy had one side of his power meter not working. He actually uttered the sentence "I'm pretty sure it needs a new battery, but I don't think the battery would fix it." The second guy was asking for a brake for his road bike. Any brake. When pressed for the groupset or at least a year, he said "I don't know, it's some 90's Shimano, but I mean, they probably haven't changed those parts for 10 or 15 years."

Speaking of outrageous shipping costs...

Earlier I ordered a new $2.99 charger for my wife's Nextbook 10.1 laptop/tablet. Shipping from China was FREE (but slow).

Just now I was going to order a little $1.55 pig keychain. My wife and I had matching ones and hers broke last year so I was going to surprise her with a new one. They want $11.04 to ship it.

I am familiar with this event and I believe a bunch of my club-mates who ride CX do it.

That was my experience last week, $13 shipping on a $3 item that weighs less than an ounce. That's just gouging.

I'd feel better if they charged $13 for the item and $3 to ship it.

Did a quick 1.7 mile walk around the office neighborhood over lunch and now I'm sweating through my dress shirt. Goddamnit.

My little back surgery from yesterday, he is a rock star, gets five gold stars for day 1 post op. Yesterday he was completely paralyzed in his hind legs, no voluntary movement at all.

First tottering steps today, he is doing awesome. Never gets old. He is a nice little dog, totally deserves a good outcome. :)

Tough to watch, Heathpack, but not nearly as tough as the "before" film, I bet. Nice stuff. :)

Post-op and they still have to take the time to sniff the drain.

Texting back and forth with my wife about the maintenance guy in our apartment. We have them up there to fix the top sprayer again which hasn't worked for as long as I can remember. This is the 3rd or 4th time I've had them come up for the same unresolved problem.

They always just throw some CLR or whatever in there and call it done. Now he's telling her that we should be completely rinsing every dish before putting it in the dishwasher. I call foul. Multiple online sources including manufacturers tell me that a pre-rinse is not only unnecessary but potentially harmful to the dishes.

He claims the dishwasher is just a dish sanitizer and you basically have to wash them first. I claim they need to just get us a new dishwasher because the POS was old 5 years ago when I moved into this place.

Just had a client call to complain that I billed them for their property tax return preparation stating they had never been billed for it in prior years. He hung up on me before I thought to let him know that he had gotten a good deal those prior years and I wouldn't be back billing him for them.

I guess I'm the b-hole for billing for my time and ensuring that they get their $1,800 refund.

Is that $1800 before or after your bill?
