That is a sweet ol' truing stand. I STILL haven't done a full wheel build on it, just a lot of truing. I had a growing collection of wobbly wheels before I got that stand.

Glad it's working for you.

So...this sucks. No riding this last week and a half, the wife had a tendonosis attack on Black Friday, ER, MRI's...yada, yada, yada...fast forward, me running her around to appointments, pain management (luckily it's backed off substantially as of today...), now the hunt for a specialist who will approach things holistically is on...

She's had a frozen shoulder (Adhesive Capulitis), rotator cuff issues, and now this.

She also has familial hypercholesterolemia, and has recently been placed on Zetia by her recently acquired Lipid Dude (I found him...) luckily her Cardiac Calcium Scan from a while back indicates nil coronary artherosclerosis etc...now she has some slight Zanthomas...

I know correlation doesn't equal causation but nevertheless she's one of those folks who exhibits all the side effects. Therefore my hunch is Zetia is a player in this latest episode.

Next stop Hospital For Special Surgery and me driving Rheumotologists up the wall.

But tomorrow...and this weekend, I Ride!!!!

Truly sorry to hear all that. Let me say about the medication that the combination of Lipitor and Zetia does wonders for me "numerically". I know that statin/Zetia combinations have been discredited with regard to reducing the probability of a cardiac episode, but man, the lipids numbers sure do look good. Many years ago, pre-heart attack and medication I had about 240 total cholesterol. The breakdown wasn't as commonly reported then as now. Now my total is about 119, HDL 57, LDL 53, triglycerides 60. Starting Zetia allowed me to reverse a trend toward increasing numbers over time that Lipitor alone couldn't handle. I have to wonder whether the trials that yielded the sketchy cardiac episode results weren't totally botched. Just saying that as an experimental chemist. I've read the Merck study report, and I was very dubious about the methodology and execution of the program. In any case, I don't think the combo has been implicated in WORSE outcomes compared to statins alone, and I have to believe the great lipid numbers are worth something. And BTW I haven't seen any side effects from it. Of course that is just one person's experience.

I hope she is better soon.

Thanks all...Thing is, no cardiac issues whatsoever... no indicator of future cardiac issues whatsoever other than statistics...

The bottom line is the cholesterol literally isn't sticking to the walls of her blood vessels and in the meantime I believe it's possible the medications, the unnecessary medications IMO, are implicit in regards to her tendinopathy.

She may be a bit of a Unicorn in that regard. Her mother had astronomical cholesterol levels, never an indication of any coronary disease, only decreased QOL due to side effects of cholesterol medications.

The question not answered to our satisfaction is why does specifically she have to take this crap regardless of the statistics?

Annoying to say the least.

UD, sorry to hear it. Hope Mrs. UD has better days in the future. :(

Well, of course she doesn't have to.

That was a crazy ending to a feetball game.

The Packers got screwed by an arrogant Seattle team during the last substitute official game a few years ago. Tonite it was their turn. That is all.

What? You've never played spot the difference?

I've just used the magic of modern technology to change the manufacturers name on the radio to a more cycling appropriate one. I thought it was mildly amusing. I am easily amused. Best not to overthink these things. Best not to overthink anything you see/read on this forum.
