These lights are getting much better and much cheaper than they were just a couple of years back.

I've been using this same light for the last 6 months. I love it. But 2 hours on high is pushing it... the red indicator of low battery comes on at about 1:35.

Only a 10 mile cord? What, you some kind of Fred?

Best-selling lights at the shop. The combo pack is less than $100.

Ok, I tried to participate in the 41 and now I have a guy demanding to see a picture of my bike on a scale.

Those Thunderbolt lights rule. I destroyed mine on a rain ride.

I'd like to see one as well. Post it here because I'm lazy and don't feel like searching other threads for it.

Tell the guy to stop fat shaming your bike.

Lightning strike?

On another, much heavier, note: I've been looking and looking and looking at drop bar MTB conversions. The plan is to get the bike, mock it up and see how the fit is, then cable it if I like the fit. I'll give it a few rides after that and if I really like it, then I'll spring for tires, and perhaps more dirt appropriate drop bars.

And.... even though the 80's fade is super sweet, I'm almost 90% likely going to chemical strip it and leave a bare metal finish with a WD-40 treatment IF I decide to commit to the frame long term.

I LOVE my Cateye, too. I went with the Volt 300 a few months ago. Got the kit with two batteries for $64.

She's had a frozen shoulder (Adhesive Capulitis), rotator cuff issues, and now this.

She also has familial hypercholesterolemia, and has recently been placed on Zetia by her recently acquired Lipid Dude (I found him...) luckily her Cardiac Calcium Scan from a while back indicates nil coronary artherosclerosis etc...now she has some slight Zanthomas...

I know correlation doesn't equal causation but nevertheless she's one of those folks who exhibits all the side effects. Therefore my hunch is Zetia is a player in this latest episode.

Next stop Hospital For Special Surgery and me driving Rheumotologists up the wall.

But tomorrow...and this weekend, I Ride!!!!

Sorry to hear that, UD. So many side effects that are as bad as the original symptoms.

I think I need to get a 17° stem for the dropbarred tandem cruiser. And a 30° one would be nice for my drop bar MTB.

I dunno how I got to the point of liking my bars close to my seat level. One of the crappy parts of getting old, I guess.

No pictures of the Allez hanging from a shop scale, but I did weigh it using the bathroom scale method. About 18.5 pounds with pedals, bottle cages, and bar fly.

..."as ridden"

The pedals and accessories probably weigh about a pound. So, 17.5 pounds using the "industry" set up.

rjones28 12-04-15 04:17 PM

Well, not exactly "as ridden". I would need to add the saddle bag and a couple of full water bottles.

Just bought Samsung Note 5's for my wife and myself. Damned nice little pieces of technology.

How much does it weigh?
