Per @Heathpack's hinted at orders I have put my poor kitties on a diet of "less". I weighed them this morning to get a baseline for how well things are going. Mr Peaches McSqueekers Rodriguez III is 17 lbs and Joseph Orangie Bojangles Junior is 13 lbs.

I'll weigh them again in a few weeks and see if there is any truth to this "less" diet. Personally I think it sounds like a fad.

Kudos and good luck. Don't let them manipulate you. Remember you are smarter than a cat.

(I think.)

The 41:

OP: "Hi, please recommend a carbon bar. Any carbon bar. I specifically want flat tops."

ME: "You don't need to buy carbon for that. Here's a good alloy bar with flat tops"

OP: "Those do not have flat tops." (read: I can not read item descriptions.)

Next Poster: "Here are some carbon bars." (Do not have flat tops)

I really hope he just buys the carbon bars.

I think he put too much conditioner on the spokes. They look like they have too much body now. :)

I sensed it was coming to an end and was getting ripe for locking.

While we didn't reduce the quantity by much it seems it is gone within moments. Then they are of course instantly telling us they haven't been fed yet. They haven't tricked us. Yet.

I was out of the office on a first meeting with a new client and on the way back I spotted a bike shop I'd never seen before just a few miles from the office. Stopped in to look around and chat. The sales guy was showing me the inventory (Trek) and he used the term vertically compliant. I asked if it was still laterally stiff.

Is it?

He didn't say. He kind of dodged the question by saying that lateral stiffness was important, too.

I was thinking of posting all the banned words. But then it would look like a bunch of stars anywhere else but trollheim.

So weird.

WalksOn2Wheels 12-22-15 03:54 PM

Planning my mileage assault over the holiday break. I gave up on riding to work over the last week while I'm fighting a mild cold. I'm hoping to be on track to feel decent by Christmas Eve.

On Christmas Eve, I plan on having a small family Christmas at home with the wife and daughter and after that I'll go on a 40-ish mile ride ending at her parents house. Christmas day the rain starts and I'll be mostly fully engaged with family. The rain continues over the 26th and 28th, so hopefully I can get fenders on the Crockett and rock that thing for at least 30-40 miles each day, depending on family obligations. The weather should clear up, but get cold for the 29-31 with possible rain on the 31, so I'll try to make the 29th and 30th count.

I've indicated to the wife that this silly thing is kind of important to me this year. I'm going to attempt the Festive 500 as an excuse to get some miles in after a really crappy year of bike riding for me.
