Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

They can really screw you up too....my surgeon divided my right hepatic duct without knowing it. 2 months later I was back at work. Eight months later the last of the drains were removed. Surgery is a terrible way to cure problems. Unfortunately it is often the only way. Any unnecessary surgery should be considered assault with a deadly weapon.

I am, I really am. Last medication was Monday night.

Is my GP BS-ing me? Can I really not drive for 96 hours after my last patch?

They got to be the dumbest animals in all God's creation.

Intentional wolf food I guess.

He probably takes a few norcos with his nightly drink. If flying a jet fighter then no, he is probably right. Pretty draconian in my opinion but I suspect he wants your blood to be completely clear of the drug should you have an accident and be tested.
Better to be safe than sorry.

That's what I figured. I checked Illinois law and it is vague as to DUI on prescribed narcotics. The law just says something to the effect that if there is enough of the drug in the system to affect one's ability to drive. Well, gee, looks like after 48 hours or so, there wouldn't be any problem.

Anyway, I am amazed at how much clearer my brain is even if I can't spell carbon.

Now they're considering reintroducing wolves and mountain lions into the northeast. I don't know why they don't just make hunting season longer.

My ex-brotherinlaw is a butcher and he would give us a lot of deer sausage every Winter. It's amazing how many people bring deer in for butchering and then never pick it up. They can't sell it so everyone he knows gets deer sausage for Christmas.

That is until he and my sister got divorced.

Sorry to cut any conversations short, but the sheriff had a tiring day. Adios!
