Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Couple of Garmin Vector questions

I just moved the pedals back to my bike. They don't move very often. I used a torque wrench and set them to spec.

My watch (Fenix 3) told me I'd have to set the install angles by pedaling at 80 to 90 rpm, this is normal and expected. After a moment it told me this had finished. Then it told me I had to set the install angles ... never finished this time. I cancelled it, calibrated the meter, and had watts. This has to be a watch bug, right? The PM wouldn't report power if the initial setup wasn't actually done?

Next question, what does the torque mean when you calibrate/zero the meter before you ride? It's normally in the range of about -0.1 to +0.1, today it was 5.3 - I'm seeing that on the Fenix, my Edge just says the calibration is 0.

To answer your first question, just to be sure, you could always disconnect the power pods from the pedals for 30 secs amd then reconnect them. That should force your computer to want to set the install angles again.

I'm using the Vector 2; not sure if this is the same with the original vector.
