Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Pretty severe case of Vancouver envy. We may want to notify the Canadian border guards to place him on a watch list.

We should ask our elder statesmen what their experience has been.

In 1993 we were made to strip down to our skivvies by the Canadien border patrol. Luckily we were allowed passage after the investigation.

Yes, we will need two volunteers for the job. Two in case one doesn't make it back.

No regrets here. Despite a lot of business travel, good balance.

Had quite a few of those lately. Been wearing 3/4 tights, arm warmers and a vest if necessary.

Correct. Apparently that was a longstanding misunderstanding and DNA suggests they are from India.

Yesterday quite sick with many of the same kinda symptoms but from an intestinal issue...screwed up digestive system, fever, severe chills, joint aches, exhausted...I went to bed early and sweating it out slept until 5am when I got with the dogs. Then back to bed after a couple of hours for another couple of hours. After deciding this was fer sure a serious R&R day I just couldn't stand it. Did some light maintenance around the house and then got in a low and slow eight miles onna bike between bathroom breaks. Early evening now and I be happy while again feeling like crap, tho not nearly as bad. A coupla days of rinse and repeat and I should be right back to my abnormal self.
