Seriously. I don't eat pickled anything except pickles.

I honestly can't believe people are putting up such a fuss about beets. They're delicious! Roasted, they turn particularly sweet, like caramel--especially the skins. Borscht is wonderful if you've ever had it prepared well. I first had it served by some Russian/Ukrainian friends who served it with pelmeni (small dumplings) and an incredible vinegar and onion sauce. Washed down with some good Russian Vodka--what could be better?

Y'all don't know what you're missing.

Beets are some good stuff. A mixed root veggie roast is the best. Taters, sweet taters, carrots, parsnips, turnips or rutabaga and beets. Oh man, that's good.

Have you ever had parsnip mashed potatoes? Wonderful!

f4rrest 04-17-17 08:18 PM

Can beets be untried?

Lol poor Doglet. Before our standard Doxie died, Mr H used to tell her that we only got her to be an organ donor for Prime Pet.

She has moved up in the world a little since then. ;)

This new dog is a red wirehaired mini female. They would make a nice matched set. Waiting on details still...

Way cool! A pair is always best. :)

Also cool on the beets.

Does that mean you and beets?

Yes.

Also, me and carbon wheels.

I like the wheels and detest the taste of beets.

I will never try beets again.

The Pure Clean beet powder was so bad, I gave it up and went to the Power Beets. Pure Clean came out with Beet Um's, and I haven't looked back.

most on that list is good. very tasty in fact. I don't know about the turnip having not tried any.

the swede (rutabaga) however is a vile tasting thing. It should never be mixed with decent veges. It is only good for feeding to livestock.

gnome 04-17-17 09:18 PM

I like to add an onion to my vege roasts. they come very tasty indeed.

That does sound nice. I've had a carrot and parsnip mixed mash before. that is very tasty.

The bitterness of the turnip or rutabaga offsets the sweetness of the carrot, beet and sweet potato. A wonderful melange.

I don't need no stinkin' extension. But both my partnership and personal returns are done.

It's 1020S docs.

Anyhow, CPA gets to work on it.
