The baby decided to wake up at 5:15 and make sure that everyone else in the house got up, too. Once coffee was ingested and there was no going back, baby decided to go back to sleep. Oh well, I guess it's an earlier ride than expected, for me.

Well I see it from another angle. Customer service, as I knew it in my youth, doesn't exist anymore. It may have changed in the 15 years I've been gone, but at that time customer service had degraded far. The customer was served until the cash was in hand. Period. I was in the small sawmill business at the end of my time there. Mail order companies could be relied upon much moreso than anyone local. I was once a big fan of NAPA, simply for their CS. But no more. It's not trendy anymore.

For the Great British Baking Show fans in the group, PBS is now showing another season, that they are labeling "Season 4." Two episodes aired last night.

This got me wondering what I do with all the time tv used to take. The internet takes most of it, but I do find myself reading more. I just started The Dark Tower series, on my first gen. Kindl.

I would suggest just stopping after #4 (which is one of the best books I've read in this genre, BTW). The last book, in particular is quite controversial.

No, you'd have to be monumentally stupid to do that given the conditions - it was an out & back, so when I saw the starting ramp and dividing fencing coming up, going in the same direction as me, I cleared the road and got up on the MUP to the left of the road. I dawdled for about a mile until I had a clear opportunity to cross over the roadway (with the river on one side, the only ways out are to cross or to mosey beyond the turnaround) and get out of Dodge.

I averaged 19.0 mph (elapsed time!) on my solo ride this morning - should I start a thread about my impending ascent to the pro ranks?

Seriously, though, what a good and somewhat hurty ride. It's rewarding to be able to bury yourself, ease off for a bit and then feel ready to bury yourself again.

WhyFi 06-17-17 08:29 AM

Also, if I'm riding fasted, how am I supposed to push myself hard enough to puke?

The worst part was that neither of my coffee shops had espresso beans yesterday, so I gave my wife the only latte (#goodhubby) and had to make myself a pour-over. That obviously delayed steps necessary before getting out the door.

I get a buzz from riding hard. It's addictive. :)

Fun ride today in Barcelona. There were two "meetup" group rides, one was advanced and one moderate. I decided to not get cocky and did the moderate one. It was fantastic! Only two other riders and a civilized pace. It's unseasonably hot here so some of the hills got me cooked. Was a ton of fun. The Canyon handles quite well and its 105 5800 works well, noisy FD shifts but no chain drops.

I am too beat to post pics here, will try to do that later.

Really hard to make a positive ID because of the poor light, but if I had to I'd put a little money on a Blue Heron, either a Great Blue or a Small Blue.

All my family loves herring, but I can't develop taste for it. I don't thing the blue variety would be any better. ;)

I've been having some acid reflux like symptoms since, something that I rarely experience - not fun.

I don't know if you've seen it, but it's even uglier in person.

So, question: if someone puts you on their ignore list, do all of their quotes of your comments disappear from your own quote history? Is it completely retroactive?

Dunno, but I'll ignore you and we can find out.
