What is that? It sounds delicious.

Have you ever had leche quemada? Take a can of condensed milk and boil it in water for two hours then let it cool down; open bothe ends of the can and slide the contents out. Yum.

Full Disclosure: I just knew this; did not have to consult Google.

Interviewed with a new company yesterday. I've done that occasionally for the last couple years, but I really want this job. Everything about it would be a big upgrade for me.

Fingers crossed.

good luck!

Sort of.

It still is free in rome. Last time I was there I went to some of those ancient watering fountains and there were people there with shopping carts filling up jugs.

Gelatina de leche is almost just Jello made with milk instead of water, but the powder must be a slightly different formulation.

Don't know what that is but I had a gelatinous lump for breakfast this morning.

Looks like they do have a different formula for water based gelatin. I really gotta get up on some of this Anise Jello!!!

No one yelled at me. I did see some vague passive aggressive posts on the FB group for the ride, but I assumed they were about other people. Should I be worried?

Nice! I should really try to throw together a 3-4 day tour before leaving Wyoming.

Dang, good thing you guys don't follow me on Instagram.

It's all about the "ambiance" slider in Snapseed, my preferred photo editing method these days.

It's only to S. Jersey, but I have to start off the season somewhere. I lunched and failed to make reservations at two different place reachable from home. They both filled up despite it being Easter weekend.

Unfortunately, I have not. Probably no riding for me until mid-June.

I will say, that there are three things going on with this bike that make it not the same as "dropping the pressure in the front tire by 10PSI." First, and most famous, is the Future Shock which is tunable (comes with 3 springs) with up to 20mm of travel. Second, the CR-R carbon seatpost that has the Zertz insert. Third, somewhat overlooked, they relocated the seatpost clamp below the top tube junction to allow for a bit more compliance as another way to dissipate road buzz.

Bonus. wheels are a little wider and a 26mm tire is spec'd, so you can run a lower tire pressure. :)

rjones28 04-13-17 11:25 AM

And, if none of that interests you, they're still offering the old design in three flavors.

You could always link Instagram to your Strava account (I think), then we could give your ride a kudos and hammer your HDR at the same time.

When I was in Rome we found a wine tap place that let us fill up 2L plastic water bottles with wine for about 4 euros.

The wine was terrible, but we sat in Piazza Navona and finished them while the sun set.

Yea, I could live in Italy. One of the family friends on my trip last week was Italian and I basically asked her for her life story just to hear the accent. She lives up in the lakes region near Bergamo, would love to visit that part of the world too.

When I was in Italy I tried to look up the foreign exchange student that my family hosted in the 80's who is now the mayor of one of those lake region towns. Couldn't get a hold of him for free room and board, unfortunately.

Hope we get out of work early tomorrow. Big day with some family in town. Older sister, but hey, she's the only one I'd want to see anyway :D

My flip phone doesn't do Strava, whatever Strava is. But I will take some "proof of tour" photos. Maybe one with the bike in front of Lucy.

:thumb:

p.s. weather forecast looks perfect for a bike tour
pps I don't think you need a fancy phone to do strava, but I suspect you do need a GPS computer eg. Garmin OR a fancy phone

Dan333SP 04-13-17 11:34 AM

Since you guys love my HDR ****, here's a lightly edited photo I took of sunset in Florence during that Italy trip a while back.
