Oh no, we can't do that. Dangerous. Mercury is retrograde now, we need to wait. Ok, call me when Mercury is back to normal and we'll set it up then. I think my wife knows when Mercury is in retrograde. She'll occasionally make that reference in relation to something not going right. I nod. |

Totally.
When I first joined, botto and all the 33 guys were in the 41. Rob posted regularly. I got a lot of great advice, better advice than I could have found anywhere else. People were helpful and I was grateful. There was still the e-wang, but it seemed less so than now. Then I wandered into Addiction and was sold. I also learned tons of stuff here on BF and have gotten great advice. You have to listen through the static but its there. Sometimes you wonder why your here. And then you remember why. And on a practical note, here is where I got my coach, which is the best thing that ever happened to me on a bike. :) |

Aesthetics Of course, cf was the first to go with the wide rim, and the more aero shape, which took a bit for aluminum to catch up to. There is something to be said about a wide rim profile, as far as handling goes. Aero, I can't answer, as I have to take their word for it. |

OK, she wants to do it. So I suggest we schedule it for the next day. Oh no, we can't do that. Dangerous. Mercury is retrograde now, we need to wait. Ok, call me when Mercury is back to normal and we'll set it up then. Well, if it was any other planet I'd call BS, but did you know mercury's orbit is unstable? There is a significant probability it will go flying off, with much less probability even striking another planet on it's way out. Of course, not exactly on an MRI scheduling time scale, but it's a total mind **** and I can't help but mention it any time mercury's orbit is mentioned... |

You must get tired of telling that story, then. We all know how often it comes up.
On a nerd level this is a mind blowing stuff second only to the false vacuum thing (universe could be in a metastable state and collapse into a lower energy state with all new physics at any time... won't someone think of the children?!?!). |

Not here in Addiction, no. But here on BF, yes. |

You'd think it would. But it bothers me that more people don't know about this. It just bothers me slightly less that I have to mention it all the time.

You sound like my brother. He's a patent lawyer who likes to research astrophysics and read books by Richard Feynman in his spare time. I missed a few branches on my way down from the tree I guess.

*smh* The coaster brake is back:
Urban Racer ? The Vanilla Workshop Love the description: "There’s a place for the commuter mule or the grocery-getter in every stable. The Urban Racer is neither of those things. It’s lightweight, nimble and the riding position is dialed to race, not cruise. Like any bike we make, we've hit every nook and cranny with a critical eye. The integrated chain guard is functional, sexy and made of super light stainless tubing. The wheel and tire size (650b x 42) make this bike feel like you can ride it through a brick wall. And the coaster brake was deliberately chosen for its utter lack of complication, leaving you free to focus on building speed & spotting jumps." Speaking of PET scan, my sister is having one tomorrow to check whether she is responding to her treatment. We are keeping our fingers crossed, won't find out results until her appointment on the 19th. I am heading up to NJ to be with her for that.

How are things? How's the season started? When Louisville Crit was cancelled for five inches, I was skeptical. We woke up to a dusting and a beautiful day.
http://i588.photobucket.com/albums/s...psexr9keyy.jpg Yep. I was amped for Louisville, as my Frosbite sucked eggs in so many ways. Now it's Air Force Academy on Saturday for the TT and crit, then the RR on Sunday. The bad thing about 50 mph descents is the fact that you have to earn them by climbing up the hill. A/F RR is brutal in that way. Start with this, then the real season starts next week. Things are getting back to normal. Mrs. LAJ is doing flowers this year, even though a pal sent her 30 pepper plants, which arrived yesterday. No matter where she goes, there she is. I see lots of your guys out there, though I don't know half of them anymore. Things OK with you all? |

PET scans are a wonderful thing, but the wait is a nightmare. Having a doctor that shares the good news early, is considered a saintly act, in my opinion. |

(Because lamb causes brain heat.) (Which I didn't know, lol.) So I was mostly perplexed by what she was saying and felt re-introducing the "your dog is a coyote" line-of-thinking was just going to confuse matters even more. Bottom line: she's giving the medication as directed, animal is better, lady is happy and its all good. |

Kid got pretty good on skis and now little league has started. Four nights a week with baseball and soccer. Not coaching soccer this year, but coaching little league again. I offered to sponsor the team if we could be the Cubs. Bad ass to have the firm's logo on the back of the team's Cubs jerseys. |

Yes I post here, dammit. Would you like to review my rates? I can tell you're going to be difficult, I can just tell. |
