It's amazing how small 25s look when you've been riding 30s for almost a year.

This taken from a 2007 entry. Hens teeth. I might want to look into other options.

On the tire front - I got the second rascal on to the wheel without a problem, but it was being really finicky to fully set the bead. I wanted to get out of the house with the kids, so I decided to wave the flag and bring the wheel/tire (along with a spray bottle of soapy water) to the best gas station compressor in town (that I'm aware of). That got the beads seated and the tire inflated lickity split. Curious, I checked the tire pressure when I got home - 100 friggin' PSI. I can only imagine that that compressor catches some people unawares and blows stuff up on occasion.

I hate to be that guy that only shows up to post negative things in Addiction, but... this has really bummed me out. I'm sure you all know what happened in Charlottesville over the weekend. It was surreal to see all that happening so close to home. I was actually at a wedding 3 weeks ago right where those protests took place.
Anyway, the pilot of the helicopter that crashed supporting the state police's cleanup efforts was identified, and sadly he's someone all of us in the cycling community know well. He's raced MTB for years, and his son is a domestic elite racer who I competed against when he was coming up (quickly) through the lower categories. His dad attended many of our races and was always, from what I could tell, a really good guy.
Lt. Cullen, Virginia State Police helicopter pilot who died in Charlottesville crash, was commander of Aviation Unit | Virginia | richmond.com
I think this is a safe place to say **** the neo-Nazi morons that put that rally together. They didn't kill Ryan's dad, but he wouldn't have been flying on Saturday if the racists weren't marching in the streets.
Sorry for the P&R crossover, I've just been really sad about this whole thing.

The 'Ignore' feature would be so much more amusing (and no less useful) if it simply replaced the person's comment with "Durrrrrrr" or something to that effect.
