Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What was your emergency gear? 44/21?

Nice pic, Trendsetter. How tall are you, that bike looks to be at least a 58 or 60?

I didn't notice the Benotto tape, from the vantage point of my 3rd tier phone. I had a bike with it, and liked it. An 87, I believe. No padding, of course, but men were men in those days.

It was a 55 or 56 and yes, it was a little tall for me. I'm 5'7" but have a slightly long inseam for my height. My preferred frame size in traditional measurement is 53 c-c for both seat and top tubes.

I also have a corncob freewheel kicking around that I should mount. The only way the terrain could be more amenable is if it was always downhill. They are very pleasing to the eye, if not the legs.

Road Cycling Thread Title Jeopardy!

It's that time again Addictionites. Since you did so well with the last one here is an easy one based on a real thread title in the road cycling forum.

The answer is: What time is it?

Remember to put your response in the form of a question such as;

A 13-18 six speed. Don't know if I'm up for it just now. Maybe in Feb.
