I always use sealant in tubeless. Lately it's been Orange Seal.

I use Serfas sealant, because we buy it in bulk at the shop. Works fine.

But consider this: if you rode narrower tires, you would have probably missed that staple. Jus' sayin'.

My 25mm tires failed to miss whatever object sliced my tire yesterday. But tubeless sealant wouldn't have helped either.

Nope. These were 25s and the staple was centered on the tire (though turned slightly diagonal).

Shoulda been on 19s.

In Belize, the women grind coconut outside, and then the chickens come along and pick the grinder clean, before its next use.

Just an anecdote.

Well, I saved half of last night's chipotle burrito, brought it to work in my messenger bag, and plan to have it for lunch today.

I hope the birds haven't gotten to it yet.

I was totally let down by that thread title.

Was expecting some new program where they would pay cyclists $30 to ride through national parks.

Heh. Never considered that interpretation. You have a delightfully twisted mind. :thumb:

Oh, I also saw someone riding a fatbike and wearing a balaclava. I think that they're jumping the gun just a wee bit.

Maybe I'll run shirtless in 43* on Sunday to make up for him.

Actually, I saw Mr Shirtless in Tiny Shorts out running, too. In fairness, I think that it had warmed up to 46° or so by that time.

Soon.

Hey all the rest of yall, tell me what the expectation is of your average person.

You are heading to an appointment (with a doctor or veterinarian say) that is 1 hour long. Twenty five minutes after your appointment is scheduled to start, you are still in the car driving to the appointment. You've never been to that clinic before, you were told to arrive 15 min prior to your appointment time to fill out new patient paperwork, so being 25 min late is actually equivalent to being 40 min late. And you've not yet arrived, so you're actually going to be later than that.

When you are called by the clinic and told you need to reschedule your appointment, are you completely shocked or does the reschedule make sense to you?

Asking for a friend.

seedsbelize 10-25-17 04:12 PM

I have always tried to be punctual. I am not average, so I cannot comment further. You have a receptionist to take that abuse, no?

Yes.

Its not really people being angry that is strange to me. Its the level of shock that people seem to experience when reception tells them their appointment is already half over before they arrive, so rescheduling is best. Do people actually show up for appointments when the appointment time is half over or entirely over and have that work successfully for them?

I think that I understand that **** happens and people are late to things. I just find it odd how many people seem to think that they will be late and all will just proceed as per usual. It confuses me.

It's been a long time since I've done any business in the US, but I remember medical professionals being among the worst at honoring appointment times. Perhaps that has changed, but if it hasn't, they might be thinking that they won't really be late.
