Summertime yes she sleeps in a hammock. It's too cold for her in the winter. I, however, can no longer sleep in a bed for more than a few nights in a row, so I bundle up in the winter. Interestingly, I don't sit in chairs much anymore either. I live in this hamaca.

How about some pictures, yo!?

I didn’t lug the big camera and lenses out here for the workout. ;) It’ll be after I get back for anything but iPhone pics, though, because I didn’t bring the laptop.

Any of y’all on instagram can see the up-to-date stuff at m1keayer. Zero selfies, I promise.

Good luck.

In the end, what she really wanted was for me to not have any time to myself, obv. As soon as I put her in my lap, she laid her head on my chest and zonked out. Since I couldn't go anywhere, I zonked, too. There are worse things than a forced dad/daughter nap, I guess.

She must spend a quantity of time training. Or is that where the talent comes into play? I've always envied athletes who can pull off something like that. Does she work full time too?

The bike stuff at their two TC stores has always been more miss than hit for me. What usually gets me is merino stuff from Smartwool, Ibex and Icebreaker. At this point, though, I have enough that it needs to be a pretty good. Today I found some 100% merino long underwear bottoms for 20 bucks - it'll be that time of year soon enough.

Did you find one that you hadn't sold? Time for new bike bling?

Enjoy it now.

These Yucatan hammocks are shockingly comfortable once you learn how to use them properly. I recently read about a hospital installing some, for old folks who were born in a hammock, and have never used anything else.

Yup. The boy has already demonstrated that it goes by fast.

A friend sold off a bunch when they hit $50 a few years ago.

He's kicking himself now.

Just went through all my old mining pools and accts. "If you don't login in the next 20 days you forfeit your account and its contents" Prolly had a few sitting there. Oh well.

I unloaded ~450 @ $10/ea.

Oh yes, but even with the work you need a certain amount of talent. She trains... 14 hours a week? I’d have to look it up. And that’s been the case most of the time for the past few years since she focused on Ironman instead of just working out a bunch and racing occasionally.

14hrs a week ain't no joke. I'm tired by the time I get home, but I'm already 4 cups of coffee deep by that time and inconsistent sleep.

Not sure, but my WAG would be that the front one is a Mercian. That striped seat tube is very characteristic.

Funny, I have always found it way overrated. Watery and tasteless. But then, I hail from New Orleans.

In the bookface discussion, one person claims Hill Cycle had them made by Holdsworth and another claims they were made by Adam Hill...

It does take over life - everything is food and training and schedule and equipment prep. Fortunately we’re not much for socializing.

Oh and 8pm bedtimes.

Did you have kona coffee in kona?

Whenever I've had supposed kona coffee stateside, it's been weak, but it was good and strong when I had it over there.

Not Kona, but Maui and Kauai.

Just acknowledge that NO is recognized as the world in coffee and move along.

;)
