- the cost of "film" - with digital, it doesn't cost anything to shoot to your hearts content. This *can* result in less thoughtful compositions, but the reality is that lazy is lazy, regardless.
- practice and the immediacy of feedback. I think that this is often overlooked - with film, you take a pic and you forget about it until some time later. When you see the results a day or a month down the line, you're either impressed or you're not, but unless you have a notebook and you're religious about noting camera settings, you're not going to remember all of what you did (particularly shutter speed and aperture) to arrive at that image. With digital, you can immediately see the composition and histogram (even they're only thumbnail-size) and you have an idea of whether or not you've captured what you intended to capture. Also, all of the data is there so that you can break down the elements of the image at any point in the future.
Again, there's cool stuff to be said about film, but I think that the above makes digital a better tool for learning. If you go to a photo sharing site and look at the photostream of a user with hundreds of photos, you'll almost always see a rapid progression as they become more adept at exposure and more comfortable with their compositional style.

The race car would do 0-60 in 3.2 and pull 1.7 lateral G (instant - 1.3 sustained) and do an 11 second quarter mile. It'd drope the hamer on your 'Vette.
Although I have to admit that the Corvette is a performance bargain. It's the cheapest way to go stupid fast.
I have this apart in my shop right now:

That's we Todd did. Clipping off 5 miles only saves you 15-18 minutes and it's 15-18 minutes when you're already nice and warmed up.

Once winter truly sets in we don't see rain here. We'll go long stretches without seeing temps above freezing, and when it does it's shorts weather. (shorts and a hoody)

Your level in Zwift isn't in relation to what category racer you are. It's just an accumulation of experience points you earned by completing workout intervals or miles ridden during free rides.

Yeah I remember reading about Talon's doing like $800 upgrades and pushing out pretty big horsepower. This was some article in a magazine about a decade ago though.

I can't justify repurchasing that thing anytime soon, but damn was it incredible - spoiled me for use with anything less.

When I drove through Northern CA into Reno back in... 2007 or 2008 everything was black from fires. I'm glad I don't live in a region that has a "fire season".

Monday's Zwift ride ended up with a corrupted .fit file. I manually entered the ride into Strava, but then later on I ran the .fit through a website to fix it. I uploaded the file to Strava and I see that the miles updated for my annual and overall totals, but the ride isn't there.

My car's still in the shop, the part our mechanic is waiting on never arrived on account of the fires.
He put my car back together enough that I could drive it but I could delve into the 5 with everything shut down. Traffic will be a nightmare I'm sure.
Cobbling together a commute that consists of a train ride & bumming a ride/Uber to/from the station.
It's gonna be a little chaotic with people trying to get in to the clinic.

The 210 is still shut down, and now the 405 through the Sepulveda Pass.
