Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That's the thing about this tournament, you never know who's going to come out flat or tight. Kentucky looked very vulnerable last night, so did Gonzaga.

Well the bike is a 1978 model. And the car... Long story that you probly missed in your absence. We bought a used car a few months ago, and everything about it turned out to be forged. Physical vins, title, service records, black box. After having checked 3 or four other used ones, all with bad papers, we decided to go the safe route. That said, I received an immersion course in the justice system, was introduced to a wonderful lawyer, and learned volumes about public transportation, stolen cars, patience, money. An overall positive experience. Expensive, but still positive.

Related note - getting together with some friends tomorrow, but we decided that we need a new venue because previously selected venue is a friggin' Jayhawks bar and we would have been there during the game (it'll be packed, iow). wtf? A Jayhawks bar in MN?!

Yeah I didn't know about these things either until my son informed me of a couple of his alma mater bars in NY.

When I was bartending in Brooklyn, there were enough MN expats that they started congregating at my workplace on Sundays because they knew I'd have the Vikings game on... but that's in Brooklyn, with a huge and dense population. I wouldn't have thought that there'd be enough Kansas fans in St Paul, MN.

Wow. That's a crazy story. And you almost never see lawyer and wonderful in the same sentence, unless it's something like it would be wonderful to kick that lawyer's ass.
