....can I take if from this you're not winning Warren Buffet's prize money ?
On the upside, I'm having Malabar fish curry for dinner which, allegedly, will contain sardines.

Astronaut Scott Kelly's genes show long-term changes after a year in space
If going into space can change your immune system, should I get my witch doctor to send me into orbit?

I don't know what a hollowtec bb looks like, but there are a lot of references to using spacers on them on the web. What's the worst that could happen?
Serious question

I mean, it's not like the studio engineers had those snake oil cables, and if you don't have them too, then you're not hearing what the artist really meant...
Because, no, they're using Amazon Basics cables. So if you're using something that changes the sound that much, you're screwing up the sound.

I attended the South Boulder Little League coaches meeting tonight. My third year and now my kid and his homies are the oldest. My kids can be 5 to 8, but I think I have almost all second graders this year.
Do you know what that means? My little league team is stacked.

And of course we're the Cubs. And to make sure I get the Cubs, I sponsor the team so the firm name goes on the back. That's bad ass.
One more year of coach pitch. Next year the kids will pitch off the mound, which I think my son will be pretty good at.

But it's one of those Shimano things that's in constant flux, and there's no real universal standard.
The spacer would go between that bearing unit that's partially unscrewed (or maybe pushed out) and the shell face.
A lot of them have limited adjustability because of the length of the spindle, which is integral with the drive side crank. Somebody thought this was a good idea and everyone jumped in line.
Probly rjones or lester knows more than me. I only know I don't want one.

I would also like to thank Miami and Virginia Tech for their contributions today. I very nearly took Alabama but then I thought "No no no. Alabama is a football school not a basketball school". I had Arizona going to the Final Four! And they didn't just lose by a few points. They rolled over and offered up their soft kitty cat underbellies.

Plus, there is no way your insurance is going to cover this "treatment."

...they mostly look like this on the drive side:

The inside of the PTap chainrings, facing the frame, has a section that's mostly flat, but very, very slightly conical, probably about 3 or 4 cm wide, from the chainring bolts and in. When installed and looking at the clearance from the top down, it's very much like a grinding plates - the chainring bolt heads protrude a couple mm from the chainring plate and clear the frame by a couple mm, so, not including the bolt heads, about 4-5mm clearance at 110mm, but that clearance gets thinner and thinner until it's zero and the surfaces are rubbing. I can only imaging that grit would stick in that narrowing gap and grind its way in as the pedals are turned.
All in all, there's just too large of a surface area that's too close for my comfort.
