Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Good. I was just hoping that it wasn't a lack of sales that made it a quick job.

Sales volume doesn't matter. However, the winter reporting period (Dec, Jan, Feb) is the lowest sales quarter of the year for us.

I'm coming to the end of the interest-free introductory period on a little-used credit card. To celebrate, or to try to sucker me in to being an idiot once the so-so interest rate kicks in, the card company decided to up the credit limit to an absurd $20k.

Speaking of wrenching, as previously mentioned, one of my Speedplays seized after the most recent wet, briny ride. I was able to free it with a squirt and soak of WD-40 in the grease injection port. After letting it drip and a wipe down, I squeezed in some grease until it ran "clean" through the pedal body. Should I be good to go or is there something else that I should have done? I'm not familiar with the ways of WD-40 and how it may interact with lubes/grease.

Making corned beef and sauerkraut in the crock pot in honor of St. Patrick's day. Plus the leftovers will make delish Reuben sandwiches on hearty rye bread. Still feel terrible and have a bad headache to add insult to injury. Maybe my coffee will fix my headache.

I realize I might be the only NBA fan here. I just read that the Kings beat the (depleted) Warriors last night. Wow!

In my experience with things mechanical, in general, the presence of clean grease coming through is the be all end all.

WD-40 is diesel fuel and mineral oil. Ride normally, then re-grease in a week.

That was the team that took me from being primarily a college roundball fan to being primarily an NBA fan. The one and only NBA game I ever saw live was that team playing in Atlanta.
