Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

One of the benefits of having non-beer-drinking in-laws - I still have some Devil's Backbone left over from my our last trip. Score!

If I see an owl tonight, he’s definitely going to be snowy because we’ve gotten snow today and it’s still coming down.

Crits are hard, and when you're racing against a bunch of cagey old coots, it's even tougher.

Your 2018 Pittsburgh Pirates have just swept the Detroit Tigers in Detroit to go 3-0 to start the season. I hope three games over .500 is not the high water mark this year.

Poring over a new cash offer on our house tonight. Realtor is talking to another couple that expressed interest in making an offer and we still have a contract subject to sale of their house. If we accept one of the other two, our contract offer has 24 hours to come up with the cash or their contract is void.

Going to be interesting the next day or two.

Maybe not, but the medium of the blog is dead and the newspaper is buried along side it. I say this as a subscriber to a daily newspaper.
