Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Tonight's band is playing Jefferson Airplane music, which is fitting for the average age group of the riders. I was surprised so many senior folks were going on the ride.

We sent some parts over to their camp. One of our customers (father of one of our mechanics) had a derailleur problem.

We have 7-11s here. More expensive than the much more common Oxxo chain. I had squash blossom soup, with rice and poch. I'll likely have another bowl. No dessert, sadly.

I made a Zipp 404 Error not found joke in another thread. I don’t think it was appreciated. Wasting my good material. Sigh.

  1. It probably wasn't the right thing. It certainly wasn't fun.
  2. I'm way beyond ibuprofen. If I had to bet I'd wager this latest biologic I'm on isn't going to cut it, either. And that there's infusions looming in my future.
  3. I do need to clean my trumpet. It's been many months since I've done so.

I know I shouldn't be reading this far back. I was tipped off to a mention back on page 43, and am now working my way back. In my frame of reference, EVERY night is dark. The problem with the power being out is we lack fans.
