Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The in-laws are in Williamsburg. I've had oysters once in my life - not bad, would try again. Wife will not touch them, though.

Good tip. Went there with wifey a year ago or so on a beautiful fall day, 10/10 experience. Their restaurant in Richmond is also my favorite place to get seafood in the city.

I had one last night that broke this trend, though weird. I had a job were I had to pack different kinds of produce in big plastic bins.

My other sleep issue of late is that I wake up sweating. Some of it the last few days might be explained by the fact that I've been using a heating pad. But even before that it sometimes happened. I'm comfortable when I fall asleep, but an hour or two later I have damp sheets around my chest. Weird.

Speaking of ills and pills, I've had a lingering cold for over a week now that needs to GTFO of my chest/head so I can go to the 12 hour race this weekend and not be miserable.

Have phở for lunch every day. That'll fix you right up.

Sent the wife the links and she's already excited. And yeah, looks like our arboretum membership will get us in to LG for free. I think that this has already earned enough bonus points that me taking a solo evening trip to Richmond will be met with no resistance. Good work.

We love that area and the weather allows us to wander down that far from Annapolis every couple of years or so, on our September cruise.

We airbnb'd a little river cottage for a long weekend, it was so peaceful. It's also only about an hour and 15 from RVA but feels like a different world.

These posts made me go look at my photos from that trip, it was lovely and so quiet.

I'm going to take 2 grams today. That probably won't be enough to even offset the Humira.

Still a thing. Mine originally came from my trip to the riviera and back. The two places we ate both seemed to think that vegetarians will just go nuts for iceberg lettuce. Including a breakfast burrito--iceberg lettuce, cucumber, not much else. Pitiful. So that caused the first round. Don't know what this one is about; possibly the change of the weather.

A little spot a half mile upstream from Urbanna. Looking forward to going back this summer at some point, hopefully!
