Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I guess the market for Ti or CF rail bikes is only slightly better than Ti or CF coat hangers.

Anyone listen to that doctor show on NPR?

Today a 70-year old guy wrote in claiming he had never had the flu and didn't take flu shots. LOL

Just got in from what I call a Commando Ride, not because I ride naked but because it involves back city streets and other roads generally not suitable for riding on. Lots of potholes, cinders, cracks, etc. Why, you ask? Because it was windy and I was tired!

Anyway, sometimes these rides are enjoyable despite the traffic and other stuff.

As part of my stepped-up anti-cough campaign, I'm taking doses of vitamin C.

I don't know if it will help, but at least I won't get scurvy.

Too bad. It appears putting the suicide help line at the bottom was a spoiler?

If @Dan333SP's Strava photos are anything to go by, I should definitely bring my bike to VA in a few weeks, 'specially considering what I see outside of my windows.

Also, if @Dan333SP's Strava photos are anything to go by, I'm not going to pony up for ass-crack-tastic, semi-transparent Rapha bibs.
