What airplanes?
The Cub was an absolute pig with two adults in the North Texas summer, and that's not even as hot as you're talking.
In other Cub related news, my dad had to pull the C-85 due to chronic low oil pressure, and since the crank has already been ground once he's going to throw in a O-200 crank. Should take the little engine from 85 to about 100-110 horsepower

We had 6 travel airs, 8 172, 4 navions, 1 mooney, 1 super cub, 1 cub on floats (it crashed), 150 150 on floats, beech 17 on floats, lake buccaneer, bellanca, and a interstate cadet.
It’s amazing what an extra 25 horse power can do to climb performance!!!

For once i’m ahead in the club.
So every ride I am getting brake rub on the front rotor. I usually stop loosen the wheel and re tighten the wheel and it magically goes away, until I need to use the front brake again. When looking at my pads and rotor head on, the rotor is extremely close to the outside pad. What do I need to do about this?

First, low-effort method:
- Loosen caliper bolts - you don't need much, but you want the calipers to be able to wiggle freely.
- Hold down the brake lever - I like to use a rubber band so that I can have both hands free to...
- Re-tighten the caliper bolts. I've found that it's helpful to gently squeeze the caliper to the fork and then snug the bolts to spec. If I don't do that, and I just re-tighten, it doesn't seem to center as well.

It already felt like a little rocket ship with one person and a little bit of gas, I'm sure it will be even more exciting now!

Well, it has recently changed! I haven't seen any in stores in my area, but I haven't exactly been looking. Will check my usual spots when I get out to 'em next.
edit: Impossible has a store locator on their site. Nearest store is ~180 miles away. That would explain my lack of sightings.

It's ok if you want something meat-ish that does not have meat in it. I think the "Impossible Burger" is even a closer fascimile.
I tried both, but honestly if I want a "veggie burger" I am much happier with one that is made of beans and veggies and mushrooms and tastes like veggies rather than fake meat.

We went on a little hike yesterday on a nature preserve trail in a nearby town that is clearly the high-rent district.
Along the way we found a cute little dog roaming around, very friendly! She followed us. I called the owner and after some delays and back-forth we met her at the intersection of the trail and her private road/driveway to reunite them. She drove up in a shiny new red Bentley which I believe costs well into the six figures.
I was going to say something snarky like "if you can afford a Bentley, you can afford an electric fence for your dog" but chose to take the high road.

....then again, when a deal comes along on a complete bike, it's a grand thing, if you're agreeable to all of the parts.

It gets even hotter in Needles. I used to flight instruct out of Bull head, Needles and then North Las Vegas. In needles it would get so hot, I could smell my gasoline evaporating out of my car. I would recharge my AC and it would only last 24 hours. It was a lot of fun.

Yes. And I'm anxious to have two hand again, though I realize it might still be a month or so away.

I was surprised she wasn't driven by Jeeves. But maybe he is on furlough because social distancing?
BTW I am guessing she was my age (55) or even older looking at her neck, but based on body/hair/face she clearly had some work done and could have passed for 30-something.

I'm a fan of the Johnny Cash, one piece at a time, method. Seems to be easier to find deals on parts rather than complete and it spreads out the financial blow.
....then again, when a deal comes along on a complete bike, it's a grand thing, if you're agreeable to all of the parts.

Most any modern complete would be pretty agreeable to me. I'm a bit picky about aesthetics but so long as the shifters have under-tape routing and the crank isn't hideous most modern bikes are pretty sweet. My two requirements for frame aesthetics are that the downtube is the same cross-section the entire length and if it's a metal frame the welds need to either be very small or filled and blended à-la Cannondale.
