Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Probably normal. Gas has been studied extensively. Some comes from aerophagia (swallowing air) but most comes from fermentation in the colon. Best advice is chew with your mouth closed. Avoid foods that really make it bad (Google the low FODMAP diet for a list of usual suspects to avoid). You can also use an enzyme like beano. There could be a role for probiotics to tweak your flora, but the evidence for this is variable and thus YMMV.

It took me 4 tries at guessing the second position letter after getting 1,3,4,5 the last time we had a word with this 1,3,4,5.

I try to adhere to a FODMAP diet, but even then, I have all of the normal gastro problems. At first, it seemed to help a lot but over time, things seem to be gas as always.

All of my docs pretty much don't really seem to care. Even my gastroenterologist just shrugs it off like it is what it is; deal with it.

Question: Do vegans suffer from a lot of gas problems? Serious question.
I'm not purely vegan, but Tums is in my food pyramid. I think a lot of that has to do with coffee, which I am again considering giving up. I'm blaming it on the covid. It affects me differently now than it did before, and not in a good way. I have difficulty waking up with, or without the coffee.

Mount Wilson Road is shaded and could have ice. You'll know when climbing it. If it's dry it's still sketchy coming back down but it's spectacular.

Lplo.
Actually not. I was looking for my post and, not finding it, assumed I was locked out. When in reality it is a simple case of the post not being posted. Prolly because I failed to log back in after the third power outage of the morning. We just had our fourth.

Strongly exercise-related in my case and I've tried the probiotics. They help slightly with the diarrhea.

Morning donut walk with mrs datlas. I think we ate more calories in donuts than we burned on the walk.

I will be careful and turn back at any signs of ice on the road.

By the age of 20, Mrs. GeneJockey and I had already broken up after an intense 1 1/2 year relationship, followed up by a number of 'rematch' encounters.

10 years later she proposed.
