Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I was given Norco for kidney stones. Day 1, felt okay. Day 2, felt like hell - limp as a dishrag and mildly nauseous, so I stopped taking it. Day 4, finally able to crap again.

Yeah. In my family, we just tell the punchline.

And then The Younger Boy crosses his arms like in The Black Panther and says, "Wakanda Soup?"

My wife was recently given Norco for a back pain issue she's having. The pain from the constipation was worse than the back pain. She has not had as severe a reaction to other hydrocodone-based meds (Vicodin) in the past.

I wish they would have given me hydrocodone instead of oxycodone. Oxy is too strong for me. not sure if that's just the way it affects me though.

Sorta moot at this point anywho. I think ill be done tomorrow; today is day 2 post-op. Prescription says 10 mg every 4 hours, I have only needed 5 mg today and I'm doing ok on mostly Tylenol. It's crazy how much this stuff is overprescribed.... there's a ton of pills in there. No wonder there is a opioid epidemic.

I remember that. That was back in the day when the 41 was quite saucy. Now it’s just watery.

For Velo Vol: this was about 1/3 the harvest from a couple of years ago.

I think I call it "an orchard" because there are also 8 citrus trees, that are just recently ripening up. So tangelos, limes, lemons, three sorts of orange, kumquat, and a pretty good hybrid grapefruit called "Oro Blanco". Those are pretty carefree here, with few pests. Mostly it's keeping them cut back smaller, and not falling off the ladder while you're doing it. Apples here are a little harder, unless you're OK with worms in them.
