Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Pretty sure that I mentioned this once but my neighbor, an engineer for Cat, bought one. Car was a royal POS.

I've done stuff like that on the Langster which has 25s.

Also hit some surprise rooty single track (abandoned footpath). Not recommended.

You and I have different experiences, no doubt. I have not done any true "blue water" sailing like you have. I might have experiences similar to yours if I did. The only offshore sailing I have done has been between Virgin Gorda and Annegada (30'er and 12' seas both ways), and St. Thomas and St. Croix (flat on the way over and "sporty" on the way back on a 52' cat).

I put some canned unsweetened coconut milk in her coffee this morning instead of half and half, and did mine as well. And I kinda like it.
I don't really recommend giving your baby coffee regardless of the dairy mix.

The track in BAM's pictures don't look bad at all. Easier on your mind if you don't clip in. I'm not sure there is a good reason to clip in off road anyways since not pro.

From what I have heard some people mix it in to other snortables. AFAIK, nearly anything can be snorted, including nicotine.

Late 80s/early 90s Corolla hatch would probably be my go-to for such a project and I did see one in PHX once but didn't snap a pic of it. Slam the seats forward and they're pretty comfortable to sleep in.

Every now and then I see a wagon I like but MPG is usually just barely better than the minivan but a major reduction in room.
Pur 91 Corolla got 42 mpg throughout its lifetime.

I can get one road bike in with both wheels on; two with the front wheel off. Then they have this magic seats. The seat part of the back seat folds up to get taller items in. An eight foot 2x 4 can be done, with some fiddling.

I think about trying flat pedals sometimes. I've only ridden mountain bikes with toe clips and clipless. In my old age I do less technical stuff than I have in the past, though.
A while back I was having foot trouble and I put road pedals on the mtb and used some old road shoes. Once moving it was fine but getting started on a steep dirt section was a problem. Not to mention walking in terrain with Look cleats on plastic soles.

It wasn't I who made the joke.

I'm all in favor of coffee for kids. Many of them will get actually get groggy when you give them stimulants. Saw this with my daughter when she was trying to get dive certified at age 10 or 11 and couldn't equalize. We loaded her with pseudoephedrine to try to open her Eustachian tubes and she got drowsy slept for 24 hrs. Kids will also get hyperactive on sedatives. They have funny little brains.
