I can't stand having the saddle off of level in either direction. I was fiddling with the Bianchi one time, and when I was riding I felt like I had to skooch back in the saddle at least once a minute. Turned out it was slightly nose down. I overcorrected, and it felt like I had to reach wa-a-ay out for the bars. Once it was back to level, I felt so much more "planted".

Come to think of it, my Colnago was originally set up by a different shop with a slight tilt and IIRC, they also said the saddle was deigned to be tilted. I flattened it, too.

Three things.
1. YouTube was around in 1991?
2. 33 years later are these jack wagons no longer listening to anything from their youth? Back in 1991 boomer music was only 25 years old.
3. If you are for advancement of time why the love for marching band music or Dvorak? Both of which are much older than boomer music. Kind of hypocritical.

242 miles this week, more than average.
Next week is infusion week for Mrs tm, so not as much riding, but I may be able to sneak in one Mt. Hamilton day. After all this medical stuff is over, I'm planning to do Hamilton twice weekly: Wednesdays ("Humpday Hamilton") and Saturdays.

I ride all my saddles tilted nose up. They are all Brooks, or similar. Currently riding a Selle Anatomica. I lucked out in that the bikes I settled in with all have the same seat post size. So it’s a simple move of the seat post bike to bike. Only one tool kit too. Really cuts down on the flotsam and jetsam

So, having extolled the virtues of my Dodge (10 years and over 100,000 miles with no breakdowns), the damn thing decided it was time for a coolant leak. I JUST made it home as the red light went on. Now here I am with a busted car in the driveway, and Mrs. GJ in SoCal with her car. I got a neighbor to pick up The Older Boy from work, and TOMORROW, I'll rent a car. Or maybe Monday.

Other than the town bike, I have had virtually zero miles for the past month. No mojo.

I’m flexing more and spending more time in the drops as I get ever weaker. A little forward tilt makes it easier.

I was watching a 1991 YouTube video on Gen X this morning and one thing that amused me was there were some guys who formed what they called the National Association for the Advancement of Time.
It was formed to push back against all the Boomer nostalgia in music, culture, and here I would add cars.

Both my wife’s and my bike were set up by the fitter with a couple degree slope. I complained and the shop fitter said new saddled are designed to be tilted slightly. Screw them. I flattened mine after a couple hundred miles. I tried, I really did. My wife is fine with hers like that.
Come to think of it, my Colnago was originally set up by a different shop with a slight tilt and IIRC, they also said the saddle was deigned to be tilted. I flattened it, too.

I have no idea what they are listening to now.
Band and classical music will be popular in the future, just as they have been in the present and past, because they are timeless.
No one but Boomers care about Woodstock.

The playlist at our favorite sandwich shop features Woodstock acts prominently. Owned and staffed by Millennials and younger.
