LOL

fill 'em with Gatorade (or other preferred sports drink)

Thanks fellas. Are they expensive though?

[edit] Seems from looking at the Phantom Cycles site they aren't. So the plain DT Champion spokes are good enough, or he really should spring for the almost 3 times more expensive DT Competition ones?

Yes, with a $199 service charge.

Saccy, about a buck and change each.

Should be less than $1 per spoke plus wheel building costs.

You'll end up with bullet proof wheels that'll last ages. I've ridden over a 50x50 (2 x 2 in the old measurements) post lying across the road in the dark going about 25kmh on my training wheelset (DT & Mavic CXP22 rims) and not busted or bent anything - I just got a hell of a surprise at going airborne suddenly.

Now how is filling the girls from my past with Gatorade gonna help my sore throat?

62vette 12-08-05 07:11 PM

The difference between the DT Competition and Champion will be weight with the Competition being butted. Any DT spoke should do the job.

badsac 12-08-05 07:22 PM

Sweet. Thanks vette. :D

Only because I told you. :D

By the way, that chamois lotion from Italy that I ordered - awesome! If any of you have a serious rash/sore problem, you'll have to get some. Seriously.

Might start a new knob bulge pic thread!

jock 12-08-05 08:40 PM
