Climbo, whens the bike-fit night at your/my place? I'll bring refreshments, you bring expertise. Only need fiited to the roady... oh and the track bike.... oh and the mtb.. :o Got the worst sciatic type pain runnin down my lower back thru my ass cheek into my left hammy :( Been getting progressivly worse but yesterday was not good. |
Morning chaps. Seasons greetings to all. Haven't be around much due to work pressures...bugger!
Just wanted to share a break through from yesterday. I took the training wheels off the sons bike yesterday (he's 5) and after a few hickups he was riding up and down the driveway by himself. He was chuffed, as was his old man. When I tucked him in last night before I went to bed, I found hime wearing his clothes to bed and when I woke him to get him changed into his jarmies, he was adament that he wanted to stay in his clothes so he could wake up and ride his bike straight away. No pressure from me, but I think I have a future world champion in the family! |

Thanks for that. I'm not so sure about the squats cause I was thinking that I wanted him to follow Lance. Good hillclimber/time trialer. Do you think it's too early to start him on EPO yet? ;)

Hey Jocko. Just talking to a fella I know who's doing the Alpine this year. He was saying that he had to get accomodation in a town 20km away because all the accomodation closer to Bright's already booked out. Have you sorted out your accomodation yet? Some friends I'm going with were supposed to do it for us, but they've left it a bit long and I don't think they've found anything yet. We might be camping in a paddock the way we're going. :(

don't knock the camping!! Somehow I managed to lure a tidy young Swiss bird back to the tent at the Bright Caravan Park on a training camp one year after convincing her I was the next Tony Rominger.... Tent canvas is not very soundproof..... |

It's actually completely independent of the road on the M7 but there is a road shoulder cycleway also. Of course all the real roadies will use the on road shoulder but the offroad cycleway at 4m wide, is quite adequate and because it also follows the natural terrain it's harder with plenty of 'undulations'.
All we need is a few late' stops and it'd be perfec. |

Tent canvas is not very soundproof..... About the only way I could convince a bird I was something special with cycling would be if I conned them into think I was Marco Pantani risen from the grave, who's been on a diet of smokes and beers in the intervening years. ;) |

If 'another' appears it could one mean one of two things Expat: immaculate conception or a trip to the divorce courts to explain some things

Nah, just wondering how you were going. Should have known you wouldn't be as disorganised as us. |
