for trecking around on the MTB / Road bike, just some museli bars and a GU or 2. im not into bananas, cant stand the squishiness, 1 2/3 mix of endura and 2 bottles of water (mtb) ( i dont like the bladder system for my camel back so just pack bottled into there instead.) or 1 extra bottle for road

for racing- Pre race 1 sustagen. in race: one endura mixed at 2/3 concentration, other bottles are plain water if i need them. 1 GU in each pocket ( 3) so i can be sure on reaching one of them. used to tape them to the frame but not game to do that to the cannondale....

For a long ride one bidon of water, one bidon of 1/2 strength staminade, banana, growling dog bar. Usually have a pitstop around 90kays to take on cold water, OJ, and something solid like a muffin or a pack of chips. Weet-bix within 20mins of finishing.

Drinkwise usually one bidon water/one bidon electrolyte mix. Short ride maybe only water. Foodwise an energy bar or two and maybe a gel. But I tend to leave it too long and start to slow down before I remember I have food with me. :o

There is a fair chance of a coffee stop somewhere during a ride too :D

climbo 07-06-06 08:56 PM

up to 2 hours, usually just water and an energy bar.

over that, more bars and gel packs and put some replacement powder in both bottles. Maybe a banana or some red frogs, something good to eat if it's along one.

I just measured it and it's only 4.5 inches. The packaging isn't even capable of holding a full 6 inches! How ripped off is that?

Did I mention before that it can be hard to breath when you've got a mouthful of the dog? It's a bit chewy

No-one wants a turkey slap from the growling dog!

Does anyone have any ideas, it's driving me crazy.

Firstly let me berrate you for buying a Trek. What were you thinking? :P

If it's not your headset or wheels then it's your fork. If it's not that, then your frame is foobar'd.

Hey Trek! Warranty my frame, biznatch!

With werds like that it might not be safe for you to race at Calga on Saturdee HDT. Might get hit by a jaguar.

wattsy_rules 07-06-06 09:30 PM

I need to start eating more when I ride. I'm lucky if I remember to take some GU.

Lots....one notch down from the old Syncros.

Thylacine 07-06-06 09:43 PM

Elite is AUD210 rrp, Masterpiece is AUD319. Less if you get them from me. Even less again if you buy them with a frame!!! :D

HDTVKSS 07-06-06 09:46 PM

damn. and campag chorus is now carbon as well.... hmmmm.

opps thats what happens when you post without looking that thylos post! 210 is doable.... 319 is getting a bit rich for a glorified ass perch.

oh id love a frame.... im just missing the extra 2 grand !

ed073 07-06-06 09:49 PM

If my 108kg arse snaps the carbon post in the Scapin, what am I looking at??? :(

pshaw 07-06-06 09:49 PM
