nah, that's another club I think you are talking about. More inner city dwellers.

Jock did the opposite. Hard to fault that.

How's your back/hammy problem going? You know that the wimminfolk call that going out in sympathy. It's natures way of saying that N would like you to give her a back rub every now and then.
True. Pregnant wimmin world over will tell you.

Highway run was interesting this morning.
Truck driver with a couple too many doses of the little white pills took exception to my existence. Tried the old leaning ruse as he went past to try and give me the jitters, so I sat on his last wheel drafting so he was effectively boxed behind slightly slower trucks. After a while he cuts me off anyway, and 100m later he gets jammed into light post and shop awnings becasue he wasn't watching what he was doing.
It's hard to keep the pace up when you're doubled over laffin.

well, contrary to popular thought, common sence and sanity, i convinced myself that the back was good enough to ride on last night. 1st problem was that just asi was leaving work i realised that id left my shoes at home. doh! quick dash home then out to St Ives for the short track XC.
did a warm up lap, all was good, downed a biddon before the start and rolled out on the pace lap. all was good, had a top 3rd start and moved my way towards the front.
then it all started to come undone... over an off camber loose and rocky corner the front went away and i left some nice collections of skin cells and blood on the ground
got up, had a look around and determined nothing was broken then got back on and continued, picked up 3 or so positions in the next few laps then with 1 lap to go i feel somthing not quite right ont he fornt end. i lookat the front tyre and estimate maybee 10 psi pressure. doh! stopped for about 30 seconds and assesed the situation and decided to press on, jsut take it easy. passed 2 or so people that got passed when i stopped and finished towards the back. was still great fun.
cost of the night 10 bucks, 1 destryed pair of knicks ( 2nd time ridden on! ) and lots of nice pretty scars to upset the GF!

I made a post a fewpages back now about turning up 1 hour late for Saturdays race, pretty much the same field, glad I missed it as I was back up in "A" since a month or so ago. I would have lasted about 5 mins with that group.
