Seriously though, this design is novel, but it would be heavier and obviously requires more parts than a 'regular' rim.

It's a tough sell especially when my tubeless wheels are Stans 350g ZTR rims, sealed by 10g of 3M tape and accomplishes the same job.

In 2001 I did a prototype MTB disc wheel that weighed under 600g with a similar rim design to what Gipiemme now uses - double cavity, with paired spokes and the rim CNC machined down to a single cavity design where there wasn't any spokes.

That's another solution someone seriously has to take a look at.

*edit*

Actually, Looks like Gipiemme already has, although they're heavy as.

On the show the guy priced them at $600 a rim.Would be a hassel when a spoke brakes opposite the spoke loading gap, then having to remouve the spokes to replace one broken spoke=wheel rebuild.

Yup. should've read the top paragraph. It's saddle height from the BB. (I think)

Weird.

Nice dig at the Discos for not supplying info too. Any chance for some French Lance-bashing.

I guess that's an example of the Armstrong paranoia?

According to a recent Armstrong book I'm reading, they try to let nothing out.

I still can't find a reliable sorce on his crank length.

Called funilly enough, 'The Castle'.

And who gives a rats what crank length Armstrong is running? I'm more interested in whether he has a prosthetic nut or not, and whether it has a Nike swoosh on it.

Havagoodweekend fellas!

It's beer-o'clock....

Yes, that's the Aussie legal drama. I also have the driving instruction video, the wildlife doco, and there's also the Aussie version of "Footloose", filmed in Newcastle. Can anyone name these films?

Um, how about anyone other than Jock give that a go. I probably made that joke when we went on one of our melted crayon rides.
