There ya go. Oh, and no, Queensland is like Florida, except in reverse, EXCEPT they think anyone from 'down south' is a Mexican, which implies that they think they're Californian, when really, that's the domain of the Sydneysiders. Confused yet? I am. Especially with all this talk of faux g-strings. But then again, if your boobies are fake, and your tan is fake, fake underwear must be the next logical frontier. Hey, I tried to steer the conversation back to riding, but look where that got us :o |

Except they think anyone down south is a mexican, which implies they think they're califorian, whiich really means that's the domain of Sydnesiders? Except they think everyone is a chew toy, which implies they think they're are bears, which is really means that's the domain of animals with cainines. Umm.... Now let's steer this back towards bikes... I think I rather ride with you then talk to you. Ouch!maybe that is too harsh. Well, at least I"ve extended the useless nature of this thread. |

He's a real nice bloke too and although he's currently on a bit of a steep learning curve, he does have some road nouse and you can be sure he won't dud you, not no way. He does a pretty good deal too particularly as he's trying to establish his name in road biking. Rides a GT Ultra when he's not MTBik'n. |
Seriously though, this design is novel, but it would be heavier and obviously requires more parts than a 'regular' rim. It's a tough sell especially when my tubeless wheels are Stans 350g ZTR rims, sealed by 10g of 3M tape and accomplishes the same job. In 2001 I did a prototype MTB disc wheel that weighed under 600g with a similar rim design to what Gipiemme now uses - double cavity, with paired spokes and the rim CNC machined down to a single cavity design where there wasn't any spokes. That's another solution someone seriously has to take a look at. *edit* Actually, Looks like Gipiemme already has, although they're heavy as. |

It's maybe something to do with an adrenaline hit from too much red drink or sumpin? Dean's my nephew and while he has been concentrating on MTB/BMX he is getting into road bikes, GT and Scott. I got my GTR1 from him earlier this year. Great bike. how would those zvino's handle a bend? He reckons they are great for MTB riders. All those extra pieces, could you true it up if you bent the rim?
