Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Uh, bigger. At least for one of my bikes. I've got a 60, and it's too small for me so some of you have seen threads about massively-long quill stems flexing in the breeze.

Bikes: Cannondale EVO, CAAD9, Giant cross bike.

60cm Cannondale Six/13, that's measured center to the top of the top tube.

Not all of these frames and sizes are equal...I'd probably ride a 62 Trek with modifications...I've ridden a 58 Look...58 Serottta...

I'm a 52. I feel so inadequate now.

If you look at eBay it will tell you the number of bikes in each size category, and it's pretty much a normal curve with most of them in the 52-54 range.

Um what are we measuring here? The size as stated on the frame? TT Length? ST Length?

Darn it all, you missed out us short girls entirely. I'm on a 50cm Burley McKenzie when I'm on my road bike!

Hmmm, I thought 55 was a decent size until this poll.

Turns out I'm small, though at 6'0'' and 185lbs I wouldn't say so myself. And my bike is a custom!

Oh well, back to the grow bags...

Agreed.

56 for me, but it depends on how the frame is. One of my bikes is a 57.

Ok someone tell me where my vote goes. I currently ride a bike that Salsa calls a 56cm frame. It has a 56 cm ctc TT, a 56cm ctc ST which is 58cm ctt (other brands would measure it that way). I am about to buy a Specialized that is called a 54. It has a 54.8cm ctc TT (eff), and a 45cm ctc ST which is 50cm ctt.

Personally I look first at effective TT so I will call the first bike a 56 and the second a 55.

Are you saying that you are 6'0" and you only use a 55 cm???

Damn man, what kind of freak are you?

I consider 56 small for 5'11" as it forces me to bend over too far. I'm going to turn my stem upside down. I'm approaching 50 and don't like to have to look up so much....

6' 4" on a 60 cm, I should probably ride something bigger, but I like having a bike I can throw around a bit.
