Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I've brought this post back since I joined the club today. Picked up an '06 Roubaix Comp. So far I've only been on two test rides and since its 100 degrees out right now I think I'll wait until tomorrow morning to break it in. In the meantime, I'll move my computer over and get her ready.

Is there a reason for the Dura Ace BB. Didn't the Mega Exo BB work for you? I have 3500mi on my SLK Mega Exo triple crank (on Roubaix Elite triple -05) and there is a ticking scratching noice reapperaing a second time now. The first time it was tightened by the bike store only 3 weeks ago. There have been several other posts with the BB being a problem. I am wondering if I should have it changed. The noice is really irritating.

My bike is going to look remarkably like yours by the end of the day today (with the exception that I have the Gerolsteiner paint job). I've added a white Toupe Gel and am going to put on my Reynolds wheels tonight after I get some new tubes with longer stems.

Found this thread about a month ago when I started looking at the Roubaix as an option for my first road bike. Figured I'd post a picture and say thanks for letting me drool for a few weeks.

My sister just took over my Roubaix. It now has pink bar tape on it. I'll see if she cares to post a pic of it sometime.

I just got a second one. I know I should have cleaned them before posting but rarely do I have them together in the same location.

2007 Specialized Roubaix Expert

Hi,
Here are some photos of my new ride. I was brought in by the dealer as a demo. I was the first rider and I bought it. It has a unique configuration and colour scheme (Carbon/Red) that does not match anything on the Specialized web site -- so I guess I have a one of a kind. I but on red Bontrager bottle cages and brought my old seat bag over from the Cannondale.

The colour scheme matches a 2007 Tramac Pro. The rest of the parts match the 2007 US Expert Triple except for the carbon S-Works handlebars. Cheers.
