I haven't read all the way through so hopefully this thread is still on topic.
My Maillot Jaune. I forget the frameset's year but it's 853 and has the gaudy decals. I bought it as a frame and built. Campy Chorus 10, Ksyrium Elites, Ritchey seatpost and stem. The polished stem is a recent change as I got lucky enough to find one on closeout at a LBS. The 2nd shot shows how I changed the controls to deal with left arm paralysis that is a result of what turned out to be my last motorcycle ride. The brakes are coupled and the Kelly Take-Off works the FD. |

obviously not mine, but I always liked the Team Saturn bikes.
There's a hotter looking one around (older) which I think came with a TIME fork http://www.cyclingnews.com/photos/20...nersLemond.jpg |
the autocad is about the same vintage actually. I think I took that class around 1997 or 1998. It's just coincidence though. I took the class 10 years ago but just bought the bike a week ago.

My 96 alpe d'huez.
Bought it used in 99 or 00. I'm still seriously in love with this bike. http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o...0630071242.jpg crappy cell phone picture |
Pre-Trek LeMond

Hello to all,
I recently picked up this early '90s LeMond through eBay and took it for a first ride today. Did not go very far but it was a nice ride. I am tall and the large frame (64cm) feels great. :D The bike is in great condition and does not appear to have been ridden much. The bike has 'all-Campy' - mostly Athena (which appears to be the original group) with 8-speed Ergo shifters and Campy hubs laced to Mavic rims. The frame is Columbus Thron with a nice Italian-style label on the seat tube. There is an unusual engraving on the brake bridge and a small Italian flag emblem on the top tube - it would be great if any forum members can shed any light on what model the bike actually is. Regards, Andrew Brisbane, Australia |
