Here's some more eye candy ;-) The frame was stamped DS and has the number 021 engraved (also on the steerer of the fork).
Fork crown and brake bridge are typical for a Della Santa frame. The picture of the bottom bracket with DS stamp isn't very sharp but this is what I've got. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=309972http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=309973http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=309974http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=309975http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=309976http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=309977http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=309978http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=309979http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=309980 Here's mine... it's a Billato, not RS. http://s22.postimg.org/vuyavmv8x/201...20_33_07_0.jpg |

Are you going to finish it off with a C Record chainset? (That would finish it off lovely).... |
There are no other specific details to this frame, except from the lugs and fittings which are common to Della Santa's.
I will stick to the Croce d'Aune chainset, which I prefer to the C Record one, even though that one's also very well shaped. But the C Record ones are very expensive and the bike has cost me enough as it is now, since most parts are new or as good as new. I do consider changing the current Syncro II shifters for the gently curved 1992 Record shifters - not period correct for my 1990 bike, but I really like the design of the 1992 version. |
Just saw this thread:)
Here's my 92 Team Z Lemond. Full Chorus groupset, record hubs and NOS regina 13/25 freewheel. http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...ps5e776ce0.jpg http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...psecce4e94.jpg |

Hi everyone, this is my 2005 Lemond Versailles. I just got into riding late last summer and picked this bike up in the fall. I still want to change out the crank to a compact double, find a shorter stem, and a handlebar with less reach.

Appreciate what you are saying about the Della Santa frame details, but there are almost no really good pics on the net to have a look at. Would be grateful if you could indulge a frame lover of beautifully made steel when you get the chance! |
LeMond Pro Caliber Z Team Replica Frame - Columbus TSX - 57cm / 22.5" C-C
4 Attachment(s)
Here's a beautifully finished and just restored Z Team TSX that I purchased recently with a view to building up and using as my regular roadie - however, just managed to source a genuine Team Issue GAN frame so have decided to keep that instead, and this Team replica now needs a new home! Since purchasing, all I've done is insert a pair of wheels into the dropouts to store it more easily in the garage and a seat-bolt into the seattube/top tube lug - other than that, she's exactly as you'd expect her from the paint shop! Any interest - drop me a PM! She's 57cm / 22.5" C-C on the Seat Tube, 56cm / 22" C-C on the Top Tube - tons of pics if required.

2001 Nevada City, rebuilt with mostly Ultegra 6600 components:
http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7261/6...e8c2c781_c.jpg I'm not sure what was going on with the saddle the day I took this picture. It's not usually that far forward. |

Here is my trusty 2002 Alpe D'Huez. Needs a new transmission as its worn to bits, so thinking of NOS Ultegra 6600 Chainset and Cassette. Would look nice with Campagnolo though I feel -

Damn you stole that! I've actually never seen this model before. It's shaped like a modern day BMC. Do you know what year and model it is? |

I bought it from the original owner , it is 2000 Chambury with Ultagra compo ,I did put a new saddle and tires on it , when I saw it listed I thought if the bike was a mess atleast the Rolf wheelset and the Mutant stem was worth the 125 ! Well it needed some cleaning up but it was well worth the money ! I had bought it for a back up ride , but it will see more miles than I thought:D

Just put a Brooks B17N on my 2000 Zurich, even found a LeMond pump, I think it's done. Have put over 1300 miles on it since I got it in November. Love it! |

Recently picked up this nice Croix de Fer for my new commuter. Smooth ride! Out of curiosity, does anybody have a frame weight for the CdF or Sarthe (same True Temper OX Platinum tubing)?

I don't have one but I love them. I was going to get an steel frame and put my sram apex group on it. But instead I found a good deal on a Cannondale CAAD9 frame (complete opposite of Lemond steel). But I am still looking for the right deal for a Lemond, probably complete steel
