Again my question...how many other Cat 3's are you racing against this time of year? And a second question...how many will the local officials allow out to call it an official race? In other words, if only five riders show in a certain category, would they still let you race for points (in the US they only give points for the top six finishers in a crit or road race)? |

They will call it an official race whatever the numbers as far as I know. Very very rare to have less than 20 riders in a race around here. |
we had 130 riders in the crit this past w/e..just in one cat .

While I do admit to enjoying Euro's presence here - much like the Schadenfreude I experience from watching a good Nascar pile-up - if this dude had any less class he could... be the next director of the Tour de France.
But he's still a notch or two above that. Barely : ). You go girl. |

Under British Cycling Federation rules, ‘Regional C+’ races cannot be run with Elites (them) riding directly against 3rd cats (me). Imagine that there are TWO RACES happening ON THE SAME COURSE. You get it? Two races are effectively run at the same time, and the results printed separately. The commissars score each race (E/1/2) and (3/4/J) according to the order the riders crossed the line WITHIN EACH RANKING. So, if you are a 3rd cat, and came in 17th, and there are five 3rd, 4th or Juniors in front of you, you came 6th, (in your race) and you get ranking points accordingly. Similarly, if you are an Elite, and you come in 10th, but there were three 3rd cats in from of you, then you came 7th (in your race) and you get ranking points accordingly. I’ve stated this about three times in this thread but you don’t seem to get it. You really can’t quite grasp the fact that I’m telling the truth can you? It must be hard to feel like such an idiot for doubting me, I couldn't care less who you are, and I'm impressed you're out there not just riding, but racing. Your attitude needs some work, though. And the Road Racing forum is just below this one. |
Euro, I'm not doubting you or anything, but if there were some 60 starters, why does the website have you listed as 17th out of 20(or something like that)?
EDIT: In response to your comment earlier about being anonymous at the time of your first post. Your anonymity has nothing to do with whether or not they were trying to get under your skin. Like I said before, it worked and you're making yourself look like an ass. |

EURO we love ya, but bring back Ben Cousins....... He always had educating posts that improved this forum.... not that EURO isn't entertaining, I always love to see a fiery debate between grown men flexing their "computer muscles" behind their glowing monitors.
But come on (everyone), you guys are just wasting bandwidth with all of this crap. P.s The Cyfac is hot |

Worth reading some of Ben's...err, Euro's posts on the Wheelers website:
"Knowing he's the expert, I clung onto Thorsten’s back wheel like a limpet" I believe this to be the first time "limpet" was ever used to describe an admitted act of wheelsucking. Whilst it led to a good chuckle, and the turn of phrase was positively Churchillian, I'm quite hoping this isn't the sign of creeping seafood analogies here at BF. Indeed. |

I wonder if Darth Vader will post on this pathetic thread before it gets locked down?
