49 miles today. Amazing weather here in NY. Sunny, 58ºF in my driveway @ 2PM and not a puff of wind. And the forecast HIGH temp for Saturday is 29ºF. I have a 75+ mile ride slated for that day. If I survive the 30º temperature plunge you'll hear more from me in the future.

Don't count on it.

I think that's one of the reason's I'm in such a bad mood today. It's currenly 71º here in Charleston, WV and I have today scheduled as a race day!!! :mad:

At least I'll have a chance to wash my bike tonight and get it ready for this weekend's race. Oh, and the temp is dropping tomorrow. For the race on Sunday the high is 36º and windy.

I would NEVER cut into my riding time creating stupid animated GIFs of Ben "EURO" Cousins. Oh no, I'm at work. :D

Of course, I rode my bike here and I will ride home. Were I not going to lunch with my wife today, I'd throw down a 10 miler through the Heights on my lunchbreak.

Yeah you are the only one who rides his bike. I was up at 5:30am getting my workout done so I could help get the kids off to school and get to work. Some of us just have a lot of downtime at work!

I work 45-50 hours a week. These hours have downtime and I like to piddle around in here.
I'll take tomorrow off so I can do 50 miles before heading to the mountains of NC where I'll plunk down some more miles there. Then when I get back Sunday - a few more miles. If I decide to stay home Monday, I'll do another 30-50. I ride.

Kris, is SE Tennessee anywhere near Chattanooga? That's Litespeed country. Also home to those HUGE Big Daddy's fireworks places with the neon signs that keep you awake at night.

Actually I find the discussion of fireworks availability in the Southern part of the United States to be far more interesting than your little quest for self-grandeur.

Ok...I know there are some that like cars on the forum and some that don't. I kind of want a new toy for the spring and am trying to decide between a Nissan 350Z and an '05 BMW 330Ci ZHP...both with 6 speed.

I like 'em both, but the interior of the Nissan is too cheap. Besides, that BMW is dead sexy...

Bump. It was off the top of the topic lists for a couple of seconds there.

I've spent considerable time in both on the track and I'd give the nod to the Z as a track car (note the Z was the track model with the Brembo's). The first year cars have some big tranny issues and front tire wear issues. My buddy has had three tranny's in 28k miles due to a faulty third gear. The Bimmer is a much better daily driver and it has a useable rear seat. The Z's are inexpensive in the areas you'd expect them to be. The interior isn't as nicely refined as the Bimmer and then of course the re-sale of the Z isn't what the Bimmer is either. The cars are very different in the way they deliver performance but both are great handlers.
