Jet stream maybe? I dunno.

Today was amazing though. Didn't even need arm or leg warmers!

We've got plenty of fireworks but the Big Daddy's sign outside of Chattanooga is HUGE! It's like Close Encounters of the Third Kind, especially if you drive up on it at 3 am.

Alabama's also the place to go to get 5.25% beer instead of that wimpy stuff in Florida. Or has that changed?

BeeTL 02-16-06 09:05 PM

Florida beer works fine for me, but I usually drink ale. By the way, what's the sales tax in Alabama these days?

My sister had a baby.

It wasn't mine...

Too bad!

Sales tax is 8 or 8.5% but the alcohol taxes put Alabama liquor in a class all its own. Lucky me, it's but a short drive to Tennessee. Bigger Scotch selection up there, too.

Speaking of ale, what's your favorite? I'm a big Black and Tan fan but I've not met an ale I didn't like.

Euro, what's your favorite ale after a long hard race?

Black and tan fan here as well, Guiness and Bass. Bass by itself is nice, Sierra Nevada, too.

Actually, nearly any ale will do...

Scotch never flipped any switches for me. Canadian and bourbon are my choices in whiskey. Of course, everybody's got a little captain in them.

:)

1.Take the leftover from a pot of coffee and pour it in an ice cube tray, the better the coffee, the better the end result.
2. When they're frozen into coffee ice cubes, take Jameson's Irish Whiskey and pour it over the 'coffee rocks."

This is my favorite drink of all time, and it is both a stimulant and depressant, like Jaeger and Red Bull shooters, so you can attain a state of religious mania if you're not careful.

Oh no...

:)

I had a string going over the holidays...within about three posts after I posted that phrase, each and every thread was deleted or locked. I was absolutely certain I'd keep the trend going on this one.

Life is full of surprises...

I'd have sworn this thread was a goner after the first few replies. Perhaps the mods are enjoying it as much as the rest of us? I mean, there hasn't been an on-topic post in, what, 4 or 5 pages?

Mr_Super_Socks 02-16-06 10:49 PM

there's a topic?
