i find flexy frame way more comfortable than the new trend of oversized tubes

Swapped out the old Campy Protons and older Ultegra groupset. Really impressed at how much better it rides. Just a hair over 18lbs now.

Any recent Lynskey experiences? I'm looking at the R270 disc.

Updated 2004 Airborne Manhattan Project

https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...037149bf0.jpeg
My 2004 Airborne Manhattan Project (Ti/Carbon) updated with Shimano 105/Ultegra, Zipp 404's w/Vittoria Corsa's, Fizik Arione, Wahoo Elemnt Bolt, and Jagwire Elite Blue shifter/brake cables. To tie it together I added some Supacaz Blue Carbon bar tape. :) Comes in at 19 lbs, not super light, but there's not a whole lotta hills in west Florida :)

I was lucky to just recently find this bargain and beauty. Wonderful ride and setup. Love the inscribed badge on headtube.

Nice to see a fellow Airborne rider. They really came in two flavors, ones with absolute crap welds that are no longer ridable, and the kind you and I have that will go forever.

Some people here frown on Motos bought on Internet. I love mine. Best bang for the buck - price is quite reasonable, works flawlessly, riding it is fun. Here it is on top of Mount Diablo.

Here's my Lynskey R-240. Under 17 lbs for large frame. Actually lighter and more comfortable than my 2010 Specialized Roubaix Expert that I no longer have. The Lynskey is full DA9100 W/ Mvic Kyserium Pro SL Exaliths. Brakes as well as discs. Love this setup

I recently acquired a Colnago Titanio BiTitan.

This is a dream come true for me since Colnago is my favorite brand and I have both steel and carbon models.

Im also please that the BiTitan model is all TI and has dual down tubes.

There are other Titanio models also very nice including the CT1, OvalMaster and MonoTitan.

The interesting part of cycling and BiTitan history is that the UCI in the later 1990s

pass rules where many Innovative ideas like the twin down tubes on this Titanio were illegal.

Same seems to apply every time Graeme Obree's bike breaks a UCI record back then,.

Its steel, no carbon with this version of the Titanio, unlike the CT1 with back carriage and forks.

I still need to see his movies ...
His life and exploits have been dramatised in the 2006 film The Flying Scotsman and more recently in the documentary film Battle Mountain

Any thoughts on the Catalyst.? There is one locally and only 600, mostly shimano 105.
Then a Tuscany locally, but asking 1200, with ultegra?
I don't have much experience with Titanium.
my road bike is Casati Ellise. Just heard so much about the "springy" ride, ..

zx9rmal 06-09-20 01:43 PM

Almost 30 years old. Still love riding it.

2004 Litespeed Ultimate that I recently updated with a Shimano Ultegra R8000 groupset to replace the 9 speed Campagnolo Chorus groupset that came with it. Love the way it both looks and rides now. Did 101 miles on it today. 🙂
