dude...

the rear stays look a lot thinner than the taipei show bike, and i don't think the taipei show bike had tapered ht and bb30. will that be a production version, or is it a one-off? either way, that looks amazing.

Looks great Dr.Pete! What size is that?

Jay-W 06-18-11 06:50 PM

That is nice Dr.Pete.

How do you find the ride compared to carbon?

DrPete 06-18-11 07:35 PM

Hulley- that's an L.

Jay- the nearest CF bike to this from what I've tried is the Cervelo R3. Even still, the Ti wins.

Damn....I really love the lines.....the simplicity...the "bare naked-ness" of this bike. I think it's my favorite post of this entire thread.

Having said that....I've just started looking into trading/selling my Lynskey R330 for a Moots Vamoots RSL. After more than 9,000 miles I thought my Lynskey's workmanship, finish and ride was nice - and it is...but.......I've seen and ridden a few Moots bikes recently that really have me lusting after a bike from Steamboat Springs and seriously planning on how I can make this happen.

Thank you! Its what i love about it too. The simplicity and the lines.

Ive had a lot of titanium bikes in the past (tho no lynskey yet but a couple of litespeeds) and i think my moots compact is the best riding of the TI roadbikes ive had. Cant go wrong with a moots imo! :)

Lynskey's military pricing might persuade you to try a Helix. :)

WHOOOSSHHH... 06-19-11 08:11 AM

Ti is so much fun to dress up in all the different color outfits. I just ordered the 3T LTD seatpost, black chris king headset, and some red trp brakes along with a matte carbon fork. Think it's time for some new Lynskey decals also...Switching outfits increases speed.. Great job Doc, love the cockpit!!

Possibly....but the bling-ness of the twisted main tubes doesnt really fit my personality, and I haven't been able to really discern a performance advantage. The Vamoots RSL on the other hand is lighter, maintains the stiffness of my R330 and position on the bike....and I have to admit, (splitting hairs for sure) but IMHO I think that Moots workmanship might be a notch above what's coming out of Chattenooga.

giantdefy 06-19-11 04:17 PM

Whoosh and I share something in common, we both like dressing up our Lynskeys! heres my Cooper with Silver Ksyrium Elite wheels.

The "progrssion" of my my 2001 Litespeed Classic

Last year I bought a 2001 Litespeed Classic. This has been its "progression" since last October. (I know I misspelled it on the title, perhaps the mods can fix it for me. thanks!)

This is what the bike looked like when I bought it:

http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...eed_full_1.jpg

Then I added aa few red "details" such as red Michelin tires, red saddle and red handlebar tape.

http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...GHT_121210.jpg

The "reddening" is complete. I changed the derailleur and brake cable housing to red. I also changed the original seat post, handlebar and installed Deda seat post, handlebar and stem.

http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...ED_RIGHT_1.jpg

I am done with red for now. :twitchy:

TuscanySwe, can you tell me what stem, seatpost, seatpost clamp, and fork you used? How do you like the fork?

thinko 06-29-11 01:10 AM

beautiful lynskey whoosh

WHOOOSSHHH... 06-29-11 02:18 PM

Lynskey gets her some fancy TRP brakes, flat cabcon fork with matching Arundel carbon cages, and some nice Sram black tape....
