Anyone have an Eriksen? In a couple of weeks I'm going to drive up the hill to Steamboat to visit his shop and maybe see about getting a custom road frame. Might visit Moots too while I'm there.

TuscanySwe, can you tell me what stem, seatpost, seatpost clamp, and fork you used? How do you like the fork?

The stem is a moots open road stem that i brushed to match the finish of the frame. The seatpost and clamp are both van nicholas. The fork is a custom fork from burls in the uk designed to take 28mm tires. Bought from burls but its actually made in russia, in the same factory that does kocmo products. I really like it alltho its abit heavy some 680g or similar. I had a carbon easton fork on the bike before this arrived and it would be hard to tell a difference in ride quality. There is abit more give in the fork under breaking tho, thats noticable. All in all i really like iT!

2003 Lemond Victoire Titanium Update

I've updated my Lemond Titanium Victoire from Shimano Ultegra with Bontrager Race Lite Wheels to Campagnolo Record Carbon TI components. Added Ritchey Carbon HB and Alu Stem with Mavic Ksyrium Elite Wheels. Lost close to 2 pounds with the change over. Performance wise, excellent on acceleration, climbs super great, and comfortable for long rides. It beats my Orbea Onix Carbon overall and Trek Madone.

I prefer Campagnolo ERGO to Shimano' STI, for precise click and shift! Great Bike!

My latest build...found a beautiful Helix at the Lynskey Loft. Just happens to have a gorgeous bright brushed finish with etched logos. Couldn't have picked it better if it was custom for me, so very lucky to find it! Just a mix of rival components for now, maybe SRAM red next summer. After riding a number of litespeed and Merlin frames in the past, this is by far best!

I can finally put a worthy bike on here. Zeppelin Airborne with full Dura Ace. Sorry for the bad cell phone picture. Would a Brooks B17 be to wide of a saddle?

The classic Ti bike look. Perfection!

Just curious:

Is there any Ti frame that has the more "aero" style? More specifically the top/down tube part being much more "bigger".

if the question's confusing then just imagine a Cervelo S3 frame but in Ti

My '05 Litespeed Tuscany's downtube has a tall side profile but a narrow frontal profile, if that's what you mean:

But when I hear "aero" and "ti", Quintana Roo immediately comes to mind, but they are TT frames (made by Litespeed):

IIRC, I think Cannondale made them, but they are no longer in production.

Close.

How much did you get that for? I'm looking at their current models and they went back to the slim-ish downtubes.

Kinda pricey too. I hope there's a Ti frame w/ an Aero profile that around that 1500-2000 mark out there.

Drag 08-27-11 01:38 AM

It was going for low $3k or so back in the day with Ultegra and Ksyrium Equipe wheels.

I'm a big fan of Made-in-USA frames, but if you're indifferent you may want to consider SOUL bikes.
