Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Thanks...I wasn't sure it I'd like it for racing but it's been great and the KEdge derailleur lets me run that 11-36 cassette.

Lots of love for the Cooper here, and Lynskey in general.

Here's giantdefy's build:

I will post some new images of my Merlin again here. I did on page 4 of this thread back in 2005 I think. I am living in Prague and I have to say that for riding in the city on cobbles and across tram tracks, it is a superior bike! I love it when I come up on some one on a new CF bike and they look at the Merlin with Record and sort of stop and stare with this, "what is that?" expression on their face!

I'm thinking of selling my road frame and picking one of these this spring. I'm a sucker for the triple triangles

Funny. I just read about that frame earlier tonight too. I dig the tapered head tube. Too bad they dont offer this in a CX disc version. I used to be a big GT fan in my MTB days. I wonder who makes it for GT?

This is a decent article on the GT Edge II Ti frame:

https://carytownbicyclecompany.com/20...um-first-ride/

Apparently, they worked with engineers at Cannondale and the geometry on the GT is similar to that on a Caad10. Interesting...

I dig the Colnago! I like seeing Ti frames from the not so usual names.

couple of photos from my ti-cx bike in production (yeah not road but everbody loves frame photos)

Ordered from a Russian company called Triton. There is a 30 page topic on mtbr. Much cheaper than eu, us frame builders. I am still waiting for the frame so I cant comment about quality. But the other guys in mtbr seem to love their frames. I will shortly review when I build up. Also there is a custom ti road frame built for a big guy, which you might like more.
