Thanks! it's terrific! Can definitely say it was worth making the leap :D

Really nice bike Joe! Here's my simple thoughts on the situation........ It's all a matter of personal prefrence. As far as I can see there really isn't all that much difference between the three sram/campy/shimano. I personally went with sram rival. I don't like thumb shifters so that ruled out campy. I don't care for shimano because of my experiences with them on my MTB. I love sram on my MTB, so therefore I went with sram on my caad9 build and have been very happy thus far. Feel free to continue to argue semantics, it's entertaining. :)

Oh no, i totally agree - it's all semantics :D I'm just not a fan of being told i don't own something when i do. Thanks for the compliments! I said earlier on page 2 or so of the thread that i think it's most important to ride what you personally like. Then the thread slowly deteriorated. All the groups offer something unique - some are good, some are annoying. I'm glad you like the Rival. I think the new SRAM groups are stellar [but i have no bad things to say about any of the big three]. I just happen to have Campy and SRAM on 2 bikes and Shimano in a box waiting for a home [which i'm sure i'll find soon - thinking about the Pedal Force frame I keep seeing on here].

I just got my '07 Orca w/ the Sram Force components. After reading your post I am so pissed off now! Yeah right. I'm not upset at all. I love my light, quick-shifting components- and glad I spent less money than I would have on Campy Record.

While it's nice to be on the bleeding edge sometimes, we must all realize that technology will advance. If tomorrow Sram comes out with an even better set than Force, good for them. I actually hope they do. More power to them. It's called progresss.
