Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I actually have no idea, if you know anything about their serial numbers, this bike is in the 007990's, any clue if the year is printed on the frame? It has nucleon wheels so I know the wheels are pre 2002, the bike has no Aro Svelte decal on the top tube but has Carbon Fiber on both sides so it must be somewhat old i think.
I just got this bike last month and its still in great condition few small usage scratches not very noticible, got her tuned at the LBS and is very fast.

Very cool Aegis bike. Look at that beefy carbon fiber layup around the bottom bracket!

Crappy cellphone pictures, sexy carbon bike.

^^
My Trek 5200. Fun as hell to ride. I have had it for less than a full week and have almost 100 miles on it.
Only gripe is that the seat is god damned terrible. I think it might be women's specific, I dunno. Its kind of
low right now cause I was just tooling around campus earlier.

These have each been posted separately above, but the other day I was washing the bikes and thought I ought to put the Treks together for a family picture: On the left, my '00 5200 with her brand new Kyserium SL3 wheelset; and on the right, my '89 660, set up as a 42x16 fixed gear.

Just traded a Dean Ti Carbon compact frame for a lugged Steel Mondonico (Molteni Orange) built with Columbus Neuron tubing and a Pinarello
steel fork. Bike is equiped with Campy Record including a set of 07 calipers. The wheels are Campy Record hubs, DT Swiss spokes 14/15,
Mavic Open Pro rims and Conti GP 4000 tires . The bike weighs in at 19.55 lbs including pedals, saddle, and Thomson seatpost.
So glad to be back on a steel bike. I'll try and load a pic.
