Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hi, can you post a side view of your handlebars? I want to see the hood positioning since I have those bars.

Really like the bike by the way .

Jancouver,

Love the SuperSix. Looks like it came together well.

Here's a few pictures of my 09 Hi-Mod, 63 cm. Sorry, I don't have the best camera - I spent all my money on my bike.

Thanks, your bike is also very nice and I wish I could get the black paint as well.

Please do me a favor and remove those Specialized cages!

Hey, they were freebies from the shop where I had my bike built up. I'm actually looking to get some better cages soon, maybe the Tacx. I just don't know if I want to go overboard with the carbons or stick with the plastic ones.

Unless you hate money, you've answered your own question i think. Carbon cages are stupid. Although, I spose they look cool... sometimes.

Go for Chris King Ti cages. You won't regret it.

I just grabbed a pair of eBay no-name carbon cages from China. They arrived today. They look great. Construction looks fine, and they're nice and light, if you're a weight weenie.

Nice bike,

The price of the bike is irrelevant, it's value is measured by use.

Got the Cervelo built up this weekend, just in time for more rain.

It's a 2008 Soloist Team (screaming discount at Excel Sports for a tiny blemish in the paint), done up in the Red group from my decapitated Bianchi. It's listed as a 54 but it feels a bit short. I may need a slightly longer stem. Or one less spacer. Or both. I think I'll ride it awhile and then decide.

I'll do a nicer shot outside when the sun's out. Maybe in March.

I finally have a road bike to post! Acquired this 2008 Cervelo Soloist Team (different paint than Caloso's though) on Saturday and I'm pretty excited about it. I think it's pretty much stock with the Shimano wheels, FSA cranks and Ultegra shifters but it is plenty of bike for a n00b like me. Put about 60k on it over the weekend just to get a feel for it and I can't stop thinking about getting back out for more!
